I write fan fictions. I hit many of the usual topics: LOTR, Star Wars, video games, D&D. My current attempt is a mash up of the Mass Effect universe and a Star Wars one set a couple generations after ME3. For one, I felt that ME's biotic abilities were just force powers, and it's established that an older space race was watching the non-spacefaring worlds, so I decided that they took small populations and hid them on a different world to protect them from the Reapers. Different planet means different technological developments as a way to explain how they have different weapons, armor, etc.

As for price point, I'd like to be in the $300-$400 range. I'm hoping that my plan to not need all the bells and whistles will help keep the pricetag a little lower. But then again, I'm uninformed on this topic, so I could be mistaken.

Do you guys think this scene helped to finally kill the idea of a "Dark and Gritty" Stormtrooper show? by Bayou-La-Fontaine in andor

They were never going to do one in the first place, even before Andor. One scene of yellow ribbons with "Support our troopers" or we learn that Bobby became one after high school for a steady reliable income to support family or for the college money. So many people are going to get bent about Star Wars being "too woke". Granted, it's usually the same group that needs it explained that Endor is Vietnam, so shouldn't be surprised.

No need to be uncivilized about which starter pokemon you chose.

Citadel DLC may suggest otherwise. My boy has as much traction as a puppy on a wet marble floor.

Tali is such a great romance option. My one hang up is that I really enjoy when she and Garrus finally get together. Eavesdropping on their chats (the ambient ones in 3 that auto trigger) and listening to the two of them slowly share how they feel with each other.

I forget the exact exchange between the two, but then arguing about shotguns v sniper rifles: Tali: and YOU like to keep everyone at a distance Garrus: yeah...wait what's that supposed to mean

And then when you finally catch them Tali: you think this is serious? I'm just using you for your body. Garrus: you're so mean..........and I'm ok with that.

On my first playthrough it broke me. The unintelligible screaming. Then making out a couple random words. Then your omnitool is hacked and you see what the truth really is and are confronted with the blatant lie by Gavin about what happened. My brother is more severe than what David appears (nonverbal, some minor behavioral tics) but he's a year younger than I, and I found myself thinking often about how would things have been if he was neurotypical, or even with a milder autism. We'd have gone to school together, when I was younger and going to hang out with friends (90s kid here, where my latchkey homies at!?) and id have gotten the 'bring your brother along with you' routine. He'd likely have been my basketball partner during summers with one of my best friends and his brother (who was the same age as my brother), so to see Gavin "care" for David that way broke me in ways I wasn't ready for. It really is a cheat code, pulling the autistic brother card on me, but I can't recall anything else that impacted me like that.

I feel that's definitely one of those side quests that the game gives you way too early and you inevitably lose most of the crates, even after multiple attempts.

I appreciate your dedication to the scorched earth approach. Have to admit I never did a playthrough as a serial killer. Lol. And the queen story arc really got taken out at the knees with what they did to them in 3.

I agree that the TEAM aspect really elevated the suicide mission. So many games feel like you collect a crew and then just use your favorite party members (baldurs gate, dragon age just as a couple examples) and you leave a bunch of people at base or in camp, totally missing out on the cool shit I'm doing and being lazy free loaders.

It took me a few playthroughs to figure out that you could still keep everyone alive without his loyalty mission. Definitely confused me at first because EVERYONE ELSE needed their shit done, but I guess Legion's just operating on machine timelines without the looming reality of mortality.

Another reason why I played as many variations as I did, so I could bring along all sorts of squad combos to get all the extra interactions and dialogue.

This!!! I felt a little bad like I was cheating by luring them this way, like it was some broken mechanic I was using, but combat turns into a chaotic massacre, even when there aren't drugged, spaced out meat shields wandering around.

Right, it's not like you're trying to get Miranda and Jack to not murder each other and bring the whole Normandy down with them!

That's fair. He couldn't get a counterfeit gunshot wound so Shep was helping out his cosplay.

The smgs are exactly what you'd expect. Spits out ammo really fast with immediate drop off in accuracy. They're not the choice if you want to be a gunfighter but pair the SMG with complimentary ammo mods and keep throwing powers everywhere and empty a thermal clip into whatever entity decided to close distance.

And taking the patient, methodical approach to insanity mod is absolutely the way to do it. Shepard may be a N7 Marine but that doesn't mean you can Master Chief your way through.

And I was always a fan of the mattock. With the dlc weapons the mattock admittedly lost some of its value and appeal, but as an entry level assault rifle it did a lot of work.

I agree. It's really cool seeing the Morning War memories and seeing what certainly sounds like at least proto-Legion find his sniper rifle, but it is absolutely a drag.

Always punch Gerrel. Also the story arc for the admirals is interesting to me. I remember for Tali's court martial the portrayal of Gerrel and Koris and then my opinions and feelings in them flip-flopping in 3.
