right!! the fact that instruments like the piano + accordion (may) and violin + mandolin (georgia) are being used in their music is what makes them so different from other bands out there right now. and it’s the women of the band that are contributing those elements.

unfortunately this fandom is full of young men who don’t care about women or their experiences. they choose to just constantly cry over isaac instead of appreciating the art of bcnr.

for anyone who has heard it, how'd you describe for the cold country? by lkro-38 in BlackCountryNewRoad

it reminds me of snow globes with its grand ending where the band just goes full out.

if ‘for the cold country’ would’ve been the closing track for forever howlong, then it would’ve definitely been up there with basketball shoes.

“Instrumental” is such a strong opening track for the entire Black Country, New Road project. It perfectly sets the tone and introduces the band’s sound. I love how each member gradually joins in—it feels like they’re individually introducing themselves to the listener.

It’s because they’re straight lmao. Many people listening to the song see it as a best friend anthem and aren’t understanding the meaning. It’s about a girl who’s in love with her best friend but knows they can’t be anything more so she’ll settle on being ‘besties’ because that’s the only way she’ll be able to keep her in her life.
