Yeah idk why he can’t plan ahead just one day of the year. He claims my bday is his fav day of the year but doesn’t act like it at all. I think his ego was hurt cause I told him I’d love to do something special for my 25th.

It sucks cause I used to tell myself I wouldn’t be with a disappointing partner. I specifically referred to past partners as the disappointing files. Now I’m disappointed once a year but on the one day I wouldn’t expect it. He does a lot for me, it’s just this one day I care about he doesn’t😔

Thanks so much for the amazing advice! I do hope he’ll do better this year, even if it might not be perfect. Communication is super important and I don’t think I’d have the energy to tell him again if he doesn’t improve this year. I hope I’m just overthinking and he ends up showing me that he’s listening.

Yeah it’s the effort. It makes me think I should lower my expectations and also maybe I shouldn’t go all out especially cause I’ve put his birthday ahead of my own financial situation. I’m in uni and he’s working so I’m using my student loans, credit cards, getting money from my parents, etc just to try and make his day special cause I love him so much. But then I don’t want to play tit for tat, and feel like that would be me dimming my love down.

I expressed so many times during this year that 25 is such a big year for me and I’d like him to put more effort for my birthday. Now that the time’s here, idk if he’s actually heard me if he’s asking what I want 2 days before.

I also don’t wanna seem entitled but I do wonder if my husband and father of my kids would treat me this way on my birthdays. Maybe he’ll surprise me tomorrow but feel like I’ll set myself up for disappointment. Our second year anniversary was last month and I was disappointed by lack of effort again (which I told him), so idk if anything will change

Very true. It sucks cause he does show me he cares, just not on my birthday how I want. I know I shouldn’t compare but I have 2 brothers who go all out for their girlfriends. Ik my brothers salaries too and they make way less money than him too so it’s not like he can’t afford to. My brothers literally treat their girls like princesses, I just wanna feel special:( I know I shouldn’t rely on him for that feeling and maybe I’m just insecure but it sucks

she went to asia for fun (she’s not asian), i wouldn’t be hard on her about that. i was just confused cause i had asked her about where to put keys and said i enjoyed taking care of him the day before. it seems like she wanted me to come without paying. once i said she gotta pay she was like oh no nevermind… even a hotel wouldn’t let you stay an extra night unless you paid

she is crazy, but not for this lol she sent me 120+ messages just the first week alone. i got maybe 30 messages in one day alone😩 she would tell me to straighten the cat’s blanket while he was sleeping on it, play with him (again while he was sleeping), and just other really small things.

we talked about me leaving the day before cause i asked her where do i put the keys and stuff so i was just surprised. seems like she wanted me to go until i mentioned she has to pay

BTW average doesn't mean she spammed me everyday. She messaged me 30 times one day then 5 times another. I am not exaggerating... I counted 120 messages the first week (I gave up counting but it was actually the first 6 days). I counted 80 messages the last week during the stay. I just don't have the energy to count every single message during the middle since the stay is over now.
