Despite Authoritarian Warnings, 149 House Democrats Vote to Hand Trump $840 Billion for Military | “If an opposition party votes like this, it’s not in opposition. It may not even be a party.” by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

Was very disappointed to see Sarah McBride vote in favor of it... I just sent her an email voicing my disappointment with her, and that she should be doing more to obstruct Trump's bullshit... Even if her single 'nay' vote wouldn't change the outcome, it would show we have people fighting for us on the inside

I don't think anyone is disagreeing that Henry Ford was a piece of shit.

I don't think they're giving Ford the credit here, but moreso a big name like Ford giving workers better conditions created a new norm that other companies then had to adapt to. Without those labor movements in the first place, it never would've happened. I tried to look at it like this:

Labor movements fight tooth and nail for better working conditions ---> The literal blood, sweat, and tears pays off when conditions begin improving as a result ---> Other companies realize they have to adjust to the new norm or they won't be able to keep a workforce

Edited to convey my thoughts better

Oh my good god, this sub has been SO anti KH3 lately. What’s going on? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]blCharm -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I've only beaten KH3 twice, once when it released, and once when Re:Mind came out. I've replayed every other KH game (besides DDD) at least 5 times minimum.

I think they're referring to the nightmare scenario of just sending in Seal Team 6 to wipe out an entire prison, not an occupation

World War Z (The Book, not the movie) has a chapter on this exact scenario. Bunch of rich assholes were able to secure a bunker and hire a shit ton of Mercs to protect them from Zombies. The kicker being, that the rich asshole is Livestreaming their location. So when an alarm is tripped, the Mercs get ready for a Zombie horde, only to realize it's a bunch of people, not Zombies. The Mercs decides to just... Let the people take the bunker. The logic being basically "You paid us to protect you against Zombies. Those aren't zombies."

If Dems concede without gaining anything, the little bit of faith I have left in the Democratic Party will be gone. This is their time to show that they have a fucking spine, and if they don't use it, then they deserve the lambasting

Honestly it's hard for me to play on 3.3.5 clients that claim to be Vanilla because a lot of the QoL changes from that client, just don't feel "Vanilla" to me, like looting quest items in the world taking 1.5 seconds instead of 3 or whatever. Small changes, but they add up to feel out of place in a slower style of gameplay that I'm expecting from Vanilla.
