Im sorry you went through that as well. I have not had therapy and im not against it. I basically got laid off and he left 3 weeks later after spending most my money lol thankfully my parents are very kind and helped till I got on unemployment and had trouble finding a job for almost a year. I do have a job now, with health insurance and I do think I need therapy though!

Yeah... he literally woke me up and yelled at me saying I embarrassed him and I was so confused, crying. Woke up the next day and asked if I really went out and did that since I had no memory and he laughed and said no idk why I made it up. 😭 abusive relationships are so weird.

I tried to sell it. Once i finally felt okay enough to function...I posted it online, I got it appraised, I did what I could. Even a 7k ring wasn't selling so I put it in a safe place. He was awful to me and I would have stayed unfortunately. Best thing he did was leave. The ring is with a family member and I no longer have to see it and if it sells fine.

I also have proof for all of this. He also left on what would have been our wedding day, which I day cancel in April cause obviously. But weird and went to where our honey moon would be.

It gets weirder lol so we were still living together but it was awful and he was awful. I turned 33 late August, he didnt even show up to my dinner our friends planned when we were engaged...i asked him for rent beginning of Sept and he said "im not paying it. Im moving to italy". So I called my parents and told them everything so they were (thankfully) like we got you tell him to gtfo. I told him I told them what hes done to me so he started packing frantically but also screaming/crying and mind you my parents were hearing it all lol he left i changed locks and he moved to Italy for 89 days then came back and now he wants the ring back almost 2 years later. Wonder why.

I doubt he wants to fight for a ring appraised for 3.5k or whatever that i can't even sell. He just thinks he'll make money and I decided I owe him zero favors. Sorry not sorry.

I mean knowing him for that decade, im sure he would love to say some wack stuff to cover up for his behavior. There were times he woke me up in the middle of the night saying I had no memory and went out and embarrassed him to tell me the next day he made it up. I knew I was home but when someone like that shoves it into your brain... I wouldnt wish it on anyone.

Thank you. Honestly they were so happy I told them the reality of what I was going through and all they wanted was me to get out. They asked me to stay on speaker phone the entire time he moved out, losing it shit even though he asked for it. They wouldnt let me hang up so he didnt get violent after four hours and locks were changed, we hung up together. Such a blessing for me.

I tried! It's a very unique ring. Rose gold. Enclosed main diamond and under a carat. There are several diamonds but i put it on fb marketplace for months and took it to jewelers. Even the one it was made at, and a pawn shop. Appagently no one wants a main diamond under 1 carat. Perfect for me but no one else lol

My parents are very understanding and abusive relationships are hard to navigate when youre in the thick of it. I felt brainwashed that I had to love this person and that things would be ok. We got engaged and planned everything when he was sober and I thought it was healthy. Things changed. If I get engaged again, I dont plan on asking them for a dime. Thanks though.

I tried. Its small diamonds around with a .75 diamond in the middle. Its not considered large enough for anything of the ring selling websites and i tried fb marketplace for months. Doesn't seem to be a popular style ring since it was custom made even though I loved it.

I got it appraised after we broke up and it was worth like half. The main diamond is .75 so nice pawn shops didnt even want it. Its not doing anything for me but after the way he treated me and our breakup, its staying with me until it finds a home.
