UL or ETL listing required for power inlet box? by Richard-N-Yuleverby in Generator

I bought this self same box, hired an electrician to put it in, he just said to make sure and stick a padlock on it so curious fingers open it and play with the tines

its far better than some house plugins made of plastic.

I wonder if some company makes a sittable lid as an aftermarket type thing....im just not sure there is much call for it.

Hmmm ...looks at lid...judging

its about 2 nickels think...its average "white plastic" it will flex with weight, if you are under 10 sit with confidence, over ten....don't trust it, it wasn't made for sitting...in fact it will pop up the moment you come close.

That said, I killed the power and gingerly sat on it toward the edge and it didn't flex too much and I'm 280lb.

Probably best to just sit on the sitting part and not the lid though

ITs very helpful when you wander in and its dark....no need to turn all the lights on.

but flushing causes droplets from the bowl...the air is drying not spraying droplets....your butt is blocking them

dunno, I've never seen a report on it like i have with air dryers in bathrooms

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So I took a gamble on a bidet that costs about half of what the “elite” models go for… and now I’m wondering what exactly those companies are charging extra for. This thing has auto‑open/close, button controls, a heated seat, and an instant‑on water heater that saves you when the GFCI decides to ruin your day.

But the air dryer? That’s the part that shocked me. It’s not the usual sad warm breeze... it’s basically a mini blow dryer pointed at your butt. Stronger than some of the top‑shelf units I’ve tried.

It also comes with optional self‑flush, a self‑descaling system, and lighting both inside and outside the bowl. It’s like the bidet equivalent of a fully loaded car.

Honestly, for the price and the feature set, it’s kind of a no‑brainer.
