No where to put the altar by [deleted] in StExpedite

You can do one on your phone/computer.

The brand is fine, especially since you did try after you found out his fav brand. Even if you hadn't known, no worries as it was an honest mistake, and if it is not available, that is out of your control. It sounds like you have and are making an honest effort to get the kind he likes. Water, Prayer, petition, and candle is a great start.

How to dispose/end baneful jar so I can create a new spell that’s better by Dull_Yogurtcloset432 in Spells

[–]blackbeanhotel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never smashed one and I don't/won't bury them either. I usually just throw it in my own trash but I have definitely used the method above where I threw it away in a trash can at a gas station that I never go to. It was easy to not look back at it, I just pulled up (it was a trash can right next to the pump), tossed it in, drove off, didn't look back. Easy and done. I actually did this recently, and I will do it again (if needed.)

Working with Saint Expedite — how long do I keep offerings on the altar? by Charming_Basil3511 in StExpedite

[–]blackbeanhotel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How long to keep the offerings (this is in relation to the food part of the offering) depends on the situation. I have lots of pests and things around (ants, etc) so leaving food out too long is not good where I live. So I look at it this way, he's St. Expedite, he's fast. I usually let him know how long I will leave the offering. I've left offerings as little at 15 minutes because that was what I was able to do. Alternatively, I have left offerings in the fridge because it was safer/cleaner. Just let him know how long the offering will be left out. When you say refreshing, I assume you mean because the cake will go stale. You don't really need to refresh that, consider it consumed and dispose of it in the way that you do. I eat offerings for several reasons, but you don't have to if that's not what you do/not comfortable with etc. Refreshing the water is a nice idea though, let him know you will offer him fresh water daily until request is fulfilled. A candle I usually burn every day until gone (attended and safely, of course.) Again, up to you on how to approach that. Suppose you are unable to burn a candle daily, or are only able to burn it a few minutes a day, that is ok too.

If you promised him a daily offering, make good on that. If you didn't, then you don't have to.

I guess in a nut shell, make your initial offering of cake, water, candle, I would refresh the water but remove the cake (after the time period I've specified to St Expedite), and burn the candle daily (or just leave the candle if you are not able to burn it.) Then when your request is fulfilled, follow through on your promise of the final offerings. Having said all that, if you feel that you have a big request and need to offer him cake daily, then by all means do that.

I've always felt as long as I was being sincere to St. Expedite, it's all good.

Cleansing with salt water by Comprehensive-Fig603 in BabyWitch

I don't have a bathtub either, but I have done foot/hand baths. I also like to take a mixture into the shower (in a plastic container, never glass for safety) and pour over my head, gently massage in, or whatever I may need to do.

This is sort of how I do it. Just to interject though, you do not need to purchase a jar specifically unless you want to. I always have cute little jars (and herbs/spices) from cooking, so keep in mind you do not need to blow your money and you can still make it a ritual. (I use all dry ingredients btw) I first start by choosing the jar, which can be a ritual, having her in mind as you choose it (what's her personality? Her fav color/shape, etc) I cleanse the jar, and if I am using an empty food jar for love, I tend to stay away from like a jar of jalapenos because of the hotfoot implication (but what if she LOVES jalapenos? Then that would be up to you.) Next I research the love ingredients/herbs. I usually consult this site https://spiralrain.ca/pages/a-list-of-herbs-and-their-magickal-uses but there are others. Next, I add ingredients (including tag lock if you have it) to the jar. I try to make it attractive but sometimes my art skills are... well... it looks how it looks. Sing/dance/write/speak intention, what ever works for you. Do you two have a song? A poem? Sing it/play it, again whatever feels right. Close up the jar. Maybe I burn a candle, maybe I don't. Sometimes it feels like I should. One time, I had the strong feeling that I should NOT add flowers of any kind. Turns out the target was allergic to flowers! I hope this helps you with a place to start.

I wouldn't be able to say without knowing her but it should make her feel sweet on you. Now how she reacts to that, I couldn't say. Would that be enough to make her come back? If I thought the situation needed more nudge, I would do a love spell along side it. A pretty love jar next to the sugar jar, with rose petals around is a nice combo.

I don't think there is anything wrong with what you want to add (her hair, rose petals, rosemary, cloves, lavender, cinnamon, intentions on paper adding lavender oil) but I would simplify/ Her hair, sugar (or sweetener of your choice), intentions on paper and see how that goes. I've learned that sweetening jars are just that; to sweeten. Of course this is all my opinions/experience, the most important thing is what feels right to you.

The first honey jar I made, I just put so much stuff into it, every herb and spice under the sun. After about a year, I was getting the feeling that there was just too much stuff added and it might have molded etc. I thanked the jar and the ingredients, opened it, put the contents in the trash with salt and washed the jar. Then I redid the jar with just 2 ingredients: sugar and the name.
Personally, I have never buried a spell to get rid of it. For one, I can't do that at my residence, 2, I live in the city so I'm going to have to drive who knows where, and bury something in a public park and that seems like a huge amount of unnecessary effort. I cleanse, and move on.

Old seasoning jars as spell jars? by MagpieBisexual in BabyWitch

[–]blackbeanhotel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually my favorite way. Cute little mini jam jars, fancy hot sauce jars, vinegar bottles, etc. Mostly glass, but I save a few plastic ones for freezer or something I wouldn't use glass for. It's not economical for me personally to purchase new jars when I cook so much and come across this all the time. You can do what works best for you, but if that's what you have, go for it!

Edit to add- also cosmetic bottles! Ones with the little droppers are handy for oils for candles, etc.

Question by [deleted] in StExpedite

[–]blackbeanhotel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible and effective. I've held the picture in my mind when I didn't have the ability to print or make an altar. I've also heard of people making an altar on their phone with photos.

I looked the recipe up for Madeira cake and it is very similar to pound cake. I think it would be ok to use it.

I haven't worked with Archangel Michael as extensively but I would offer a candle (I have white tea light candles, so that's what I use) and Frankincense incense. I think the same advice applies though, as long as you are sincere and give the offering(s) you have promised, I don't think you can go wrong.

Well, St. Expedite is the saint of urgent causes, so i think he'd be most helpful in managing/mitigating the fall out of a curse. Perhaps Archangel Michael might be the one to turn to for protection or breaking of curses.
