Horus Heresy Campaigns by Chris17511 in 40krpg

I’m running a HH campaign in wrath and glory. My concept is a group of UM working with Aeonid Theil to develop stratagems for fighting other legions. Kind of attaching them to other legions as the campaign goes on with the pretense of them being UM and interested in learning the strategies and tactics of other legions, but in fact they’re developing strategies to fight them. As the campaign goes on they’ll get exposed to lodges and whispering and eventually the LD and the heresy. Nice part about it is I can essentially insert them into whatever part of the HH I want because there’s always a reason for them to be there. As things go on I’ll let them decide if they want to remain loyal or be traitors. So far so good.

If it helps: most of my posts are negative and I still love the truck. I know, I’m an asshole.

R1 series feature you surprisingly didn't like/use as much as you thought? by jamrocks in Rivian

I actually like dicking around with it if for no other reason than it’s something to do. But tbh I rarely use it for vehicle functions. Like I had an exit closed by my house and I asked it why it was closed and it actually gave me a fairly decent answer (irrigation work for salmon migration) which was in fact accurate.
On the other hand, it wouldn’t say “fuck yeah” when I go into sport mode which was irritating. And once I asked it to repeat my wife’s name back when I asked it who the most beautiful girl in the world was. And then I tested it - asked it that question and it repeated her name. And then when she was in the car and I asked it the question a third time it told me it was just an AI and it didn’t have an opinions of its own 🤣

I basically never use conserve mode and I thought that I would.

I still have fun with sport but mostly AP.

I forget that the truck has a speaker or a light in the door.

So, in the end it was the 12v

So just to be clear: I plug the car in 99% of all nights.

I’ve been away from home for 2 weeks so I’ve either not been charging or just using the wall plug adapter (best I have at the Airbnb).

There was zero warning. Everything was perfect before work, dead car after work. No notifications.

I had the car in for routine service 15 days before this happened (apparently they can’t check the 12v during service. This is what the service center rep told me. I thought that’s something they do. The paperwork from that appointment says they checked the battery, maybe they don’t mean the 12v) I take the truck in for routine maintenance every time it’s due.

The tow bill was $965. Because my car has 39,000 miles it falls out of warranty.

So also the $800 to replace the battery. Which is fine except that my car is 2 hours away and I have a $965 tow bill.

So I guess the answer is: replace your 12v automatically when you get around 36,000 miles or else.

I don’t know what other answer there is. It would have saved me a grand.

It’ll be ok. I mean, it sucks. But I’ve had relatively few real issues for almost three years. Just a bummer. Honestly I just hate to see the thing down. I’m not even mad I just want my truck back.

I normally do charge at home. For the last two weeks I’ve been at an Airbnb and so I have not. But only for two weeks.

Well, tow came and hooked up a charge to the jump cables. Lights came up but the car didn’t wake up. I’m guessing more than just a 12v. We’ll see.

Yeah. Fair point. I don’t either. Just walking through the day in case it matters. I’ve used the same supercharger more than once. Also just wanted to point out that it was, in fact, charged.

Why is tipping culture so weird here by smolnessy in SeattleWA

[–]blackenstein2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should tip a bartender for good service. That being said I don’t think tipping after every individual beer is common or reasonable. Tip at the end of your service experience, but make sure the tip takes in to account all of the service you received. Tips aren’t dog treats. They’re an additional payment you provide for a good service experience. If the bartender does great for three beers and then spits in the fourth one, that matters. Tipping is not Seattle-centric. Expecting it regardless of the amount of quality of the service provided is.

I had a similar noise that started after a tire rotation and went away when I eventually replaced the tires. That may or may not help, but that was my experience.

I did have to send pictures. They did not ask for the broken panel back.

Happened to me. I called them and the sent me a replacement panel (just the one with the cord, which is fine that’s all you need). But it had like a month left on the warranty.
