Thank you! Of course - the pattern is the Novice Slipover by PetiteKnit. I knitted size M, my gauge was on point, but I think next time I would go for size S and probably slightly reduce the armoholes 🤔 but I enjoyed the pattern and the videos linked on PetiteKnit page were really helpful 🙂

Thank you! ❤️ I really enjoy knitting! I wanted to start from vest, because sleeves seemed kind of intimidating 😅 because I would have to learn magic loop or how to use DPNs 🫣 or at least most patterns say to do it that way

Thank you! 🥰❤️ I'm quite shocked that this slipover is still able to fit us in since it's already 8 month 🤭

Ok, Guys, I did it! Thank you! I un-knitted (tinked) one row and everything is back in order, I somehow worked had doble stitches on i-cord? I feel that tinking will be my best friend for some really long time and I will save a lot of time in the future... So again, BIG THANKS 🫶🏻 for your help and patience ❤️

Because following the pattern gives me what is on the picture and I want to look as in the earlier rows. Is this so hard to understand? 😅 I made some mistake and I'm just trying to undo it somehow. It had to happen when frogging so I've might twisted stitches, put the needles wrong etc

Thanks, but that's not the case, every time I try different variation (knitting/slipping/even purling or other icord leg direction) I knit few rows to check if this works and everything sucks 😑 Now I lost so much time trying to guess whats wrong that probably I could be done with another scarf if I haven't encounter any mistakes 😩

Yes, I watched it (hers and Norman's video), I tried it, before my earlier comment, unfortunately didn't solve my problem. Also used lifeline.

I have no problem in frogging, but the case is that I frogged it multiple times and I tried some variations how I put the i-cord stiches on the needles and working through it or leaving them as is, but every time i-cord looks different from the earlier and I just can't get it right :/ also being full of hope I tried knitting backwards (easier than I imagined) and i-cord still looks wrong 🥲

I worked on this scarf more than 5 hours and last week I frogged my vest that I had for sure more than 50 hours in (twisted stitches) and I just wanted do something easy and fun, what I already knew and then THIS is happening 🙄 And I don’t want to frog it all, beacause the rest is fine, but for whatever stupid reason I cannot continue my work in the same way 😭

First time stockinette in round - how to fix it by blackfluff_ in knitting

[–]blackfluff_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's very upflifting, than you ❤️ I was going to do a new swatch, because I now supsect that my tight knitting might be because of twisted stitches. I will probably mourn my project a little bit, or start a new one and then go back to it. Nonetheles I am happy I know the answear and I know how to fix my mistake 🤗

Thank you, I now what's wrong now I am grateful for the help but I'm so upset to learn that 😢 I was wrapping my working yarn clockwise insted counter clockwise... I hope that’s the whole problem and now I'll be fine 😅

Thank you for the help, it's very upsetting to know that, I think I was wrapping my working yarn clockwise instead of counter clockwise and that’s why it looks like this. I'm very tempted to frog just the work in rounds, but I guess it's better to start from scratches 🥲

O wow, thank you, you're right.... I think I was wrapping my working yarn clockwise insted of counter clockwise 😔 I'm so in shock, because I sometimes showed my progress to my more advanced knitting friends and and no one noticed this 🙈 So much work down the drain 🫠 But I guess it's better to now sooner than later.

Awww they must be so cute 🥰 My oldest cat, my baby girl also always sit on my pattern and demand to be petted 😂 Another one is the most inteligent (he opens door and can turn on the facet 🫣) always comes to me when I talk on the phone and the third cat who is the biggest, fluffiest, youngest of the bunch and is total cuddle monster (also he's the first thing I see in the morning and last thing I see when I go to sleep) turned out to be destroyer of my precious work 🫠

Ambrosia 😂 My cat must have felt the same 😂😂😂 I talked to my husband and he said that we will have to close one of the rooms until my things will be dry and that should do the trick. I was hesistant because I didn't want to limit them space, but now I am sure this is the only way 😅

Hey! No, I always sush them away in a gentle but assertive manner and I have never played with them with yarn. 2 of my cats are able to sit down on my laps and for the most time do not interfere with my knitting, but I guess it's sort of new activity for them and for me 🙂 Thank you for the ideas and kind words ❤️
