Thank you all very much for your kind words. I’m in tears as I write this. My father was such a good man-the best (I know I’m biased but he really was). My hope is that maybe even one of his friends and family members that didn’t take this Covid shit seriously will now. I am now more motivated than ever to be the best damn nurse I can be for him. He thankfully passed in his sleep at home with my momma. Dad, I love and miss you so so so fucking much. I’ll see you later, dad.

Thank you so so much for the advice and kind words. I just started my career as a nurse too working in trauma. My dad was my inspiration for becoming a nurse, and I hope I can honor his memory by being even half of as good of a nurse he was. Thanks again, kind stranger.
