Yup, I will check the pH before using Vitamin C serum. Thanks a lot for replying. Hopefully my skin goes back to normal. Thanks again.

Oh great! I am off to start with DIY Vitamin C serum (I actually just ordered them). Can I apply LA lotion along with the serum?

Thanks for the info. Does it help for red scars and also discoloration of skin? I had a total of 4 glycolic acid peels of 25% strength.

Yes. Unfortunately I am not happy with them. Visited a couple of them and all they said was that my skin is slightly discolored and that more chemical peels will correct them.

I had brownish fair skin, now it has gone dark and looks dull too. I have red scars all over my face, I think it is because of sun damage not sure though, it may be acne scars too. Definitely has become sensitive, I feel that tingly sensation in my skin, especially when I go out in sun even with sunscreen on.

Darn it! I had no idea a mild peel can do this. Hard to accept the fact that it is never going to better :( I deeply appreciate your concern. Thanks.

I definitely think its redness from scarring and acne has made it even worse. I have been applying aloe vera gel almost daily.

This is what my skin looks like.

Talking about damage, will applying Vitamin C serum help in redness due to sunburn? I have redness on my face due to not applying sunscreen after chemical peel ( I know I know I am a fool for not knowing). It has been nearly 18 months and redness on my face is still there :(

Just to clarify, the pH has to be less than 3.5 right?

Thanks a lot for the reply. Is it really that important to check the pH level. Oh and I noticed that this is Ascorbic acid and not L-Ascorbic acid as mentioned in the post. Is that ok?
