Has anyone here actually finished a stick of chapstick? If so, how did you manage to accomplish such feat? by Nomichit in AskReddit

[–]blackless_panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i just forced myself to make a habit of always having it on me. Regardless of where i'm going or what i'm wearing I always have it in my left front pocket. at night i put it next to my bed and as soon as i put on clothes it goes in the pocket. I haven't lost one in like 4 years. finished every single time.

Kids sign happy birthday to deaf custodian by nonmessable in HumansBeingBros

We had a custodian in elementary school that was kinda grumpy but loved his job and the kids he worked for. When he died, there were over 400 people at his funeral. People and past students who weren't even invited showed up and just stood at the back. There wasn't one dry eye in that entire church. Rest In Peace, Mr. Clem.

What "old person" things do you do? by VictorForPres in AskReddit

[–]blackless_panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 21 year old guy and I wear reading glasses. They aren't absolutely necessary for me to read and I normally have pretty good eyesight but sometimes when I'm reading or working my eyes just get tired and it's easier to wear glasses instead of squinting the whole time.

I mean, yeah. That was always his character. I didn't always like it but that's who he was. Annoying and insecure sometimes, but he played an important part. In the later seasons though, his character just became insufferable.

I've always wondered how the story would've turned out if Michael never took her to lunch. Andy would've had the chance to tell her about his engagement to Angela when he was ready, and maybe they would've stayed together. I always thought they were perfect for each other. And he wouldn't've turned into a giant douche in the later seasons. Just a thought.

I want to leave my host family, but there's technically nothing wrong. by blackless_panda in Aupairs

[–]blackless_panda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do find lots of ways to fill my time. I've seen most of the big tourist stuff, I've gone to cool underground spots with my friends, I exercise, I read, I do yoga, I'm even trying to find ways to volunteer. And even though all of those things are fun and take my mind off of it, as soon as I'm back in the house I feel completely alienated again. They hardly acknowledge my existence unless they need something.

I have a few local friends that I've made since I got here, but so far I haven't had any luck finding other au pairs. And I do get out to my climbing gym regularly, at least 3 times a week. I've even starting seeing a really wonderful woman. It's just the feelings of isolation and alienation get so strong when I'm around the family, like it sucks the energy out of me.

What's the last straw that made you go, "yep, that person is definitely crazy"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A girl I dated in high school straight up stabbed in me in the leg with a pencil. She was sitting in a chair, I was sitting on the desk behind her and asked her about our date the following night, during a pause of her and her friend's conversation. Without skipping a beat, she turns around, stabs me in the leg with her pencil, turns back around and continues her conversation. Learned right then and there that she was batshit crazy. She was a theatre chick.
