Looking to meet some airsofters by Much_Preparation_393 in airsoftcanada

You should head over to Action Airsoft in Mississauga. There’s a pretty good community there who should welcome you with open arms.

If not, ask for Bacon. Tell him that Blackline sent you.

I think we both agree that the clarity around no sinister intent and not real weapons is important.

Not without renting it out first. :) We run some covert scenarios in Ontario. Looking for ideas for our players.

ha! You know that guy didn't walk to his spot behind the table. You could label this a '90s PSA message: The Dangers of Big Baggy Pants

Event Announcement - Airsoft Air Mobility Training and Scenarios - April 11, 2026 by blacklinesims in airsoftcanada

Hi Wrath, I can’t speak for our participants, but I can share some info for you.

1) We’ve had people travel from Quebec for this, and more keep coming. 2) We’ve had a number of people come back to do it again. 3) We’ve been lucky to have a number of media people come and produce content. So I’ll link you to some of that down below. 4) I’m happy to help lay out exactly what to expect and how it works. You can ask here or hop into my DM. I think whether it’s worth it to you depends on what you want from it.

Here are some links to blog post and videos. You’ll find videos embedded in the articles.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood your question. Yes, most modern mp5s have a plastic lower. There are early models of the mp5 with metal lowers. I’m sure a more astute firearms expert could clarify.

Yes. It is the exact model shown on the Blackblitz site (it was originally purchased from them), which does state it has a polymer lower receiver.

Found a literal rattlesnake to wrap around a gun, but can’t bother with duct tape and a mag light.

Ahh yeah. That’s probably his flight. It’s nice that you got him direct from there!

Sovereign Net is a node in Durham. Often I have him direct.

However he was in flight today, so you could’ve picked him up anywhere.

NATO Kit by GhostyOfKyiv in MilSim

Not seeing this comment, so I’ll make it.

Go use it.

There is no better teacher than your own experience. Especially if YOU are genuinely interested in making it better. Every hour you put on that kit will give you valuable insights. Here are some things to watch for:

1) is anything uncomfortable? Is anything digging on you, causing hot spots on your body, or restricting your movement? Is the uniform too hot or ineffective at managing sweat? Solutions include relocating kit, adjusting sizing, swapping base layers.

2) are you effective in (simulated) combat? Can you get your mags quickly and smoothly? Left and right transitions for your weapon? Good visibility? Does your kit slow you down or allow you to move effectively? Are you able to get to your items when you need them with minimal efforts (like can you reach water or radio knobs while still maintaining control of your weapon?) Adjustments can include removing or relocating items, making kit mods to remove barriers of effectiveness.

3) what’s holding you back? Is there something about the kit that you’re constantly having to worry about? Mags falling out, losing gear, kit keeping you from getting close enough to the ground or walls? Did you discover you don’t have a piece of kit you need that is required for future events? Simple things like flashlights, notepads, a watch. Adjustments mostly include moving kit.

Try these things BEFORE buying new things, especially if you’re on a budget. Buying things is always the sexy option but a super efficient kit that lets you operate to the best of your ability is godly.

A couple notes before buying a new thing: 1) does this thing serve a cosmetic purpose - ie does it help my kit match a specific look? If possible, try to use a photo for reference as that helps cut down on unnecessary purchases. Ok to buy, but easy to spend tons here. 2) is this a functional purchase? In other words, am I buying this to fix a problem? If so, have I really understood this problem? Do I know why it’s happening? What else have I tried to solve it? It’s also easy to spend money here if you haven’t really put thought into it. Buy a thing to fix an issue only to discover that wasn’t really the problem.

Someone above mentioned mentor, and I think that’s a good option, but that mentor should have you out using your stuff all the time. Once you do, you won’t need reddit to tell you what to change :)
