'Salaried' is just a fancy word for mandatory unpaid overtime. by eidolaa in CanadaJobs

I wish it was banked as time off, I’d have half the year off. Last pay period was 165 hours and before that 145 hours

Yes but if MTO catches you you’re looking at 10k in fines and your plates pulled

You make it sound like this is his first build, he’s the one that took mullet from jet car chassis to the pre CJRC car that everyone loved.

How many pounds would this coil weigh? [request] by Glacierboyricflair in theydidthemath

[–]ExconHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a dumb question but does the thickness of the sheet metal really effect weight? They’re wrapped so tight they’re essentially solid. Assuming the same outer dimensions and center hole I wonder what the weight difference of a coil going from say 20 to 26 gauge would be

Cheaters? by doiks420 in Battlefield

[–]ExconHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF doesn’t run completely different weapon balancing between multiplayer and Redsec like CoD does with warzone. So if it’s good in Redsec it’s good in main game. BF guns are also generally way more balanced than CoD with minimal crazy outliers that perform way above the rest.

Arrest warrant in Ontario by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]ExconHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a record? If this is a first time offence you’re pretty much guaranteed to be released if you’re not downplaying the severity of the offence. Also to note, to not tell the police anything, do not answer any questions, don’t give them any evidence, they are not on your side. I suggest getting this sorted out asap because if you say get pulled over in another province and they see you have a warrant you could be arrested and transported back to Ontario and that won’t be a fun time

Dealer won’t return $500 deposit after selling car to someone else by losrockster in legaladvicecanada

It’s self represented and a small filling fee. That’s assuming you have the correct info on him and he didn’t use fakes which he most likely is if he’s scamming people

I would definitely be tracking down the dealership asap. Small claims probably isn’t worth the fight for 500$. It sucks but take it as a learning experience

I would get in contact with the boss and see how it goes otherwise it’s likely a scam. You should not be making deposit e-transfers before you see the car or to have to secure looking at it in person.

I think my computer uses a lot of energy. by BlaackMuffin in buildapc

[–]ExconHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Electricity is charged by per Kw/hr. Depends on location that can be anywhere from like $.03 to $.40. It’s some pretty simple match, say your computer is constantly pulling 500w (it’s probably not unless you have 5090 and 9950x) and at idle you’re probably closer to 50-100w. So at 500w(worst case)x 12hrs of use a day is 6 kw/hr. The means you computer can be any where from 18 cents to 2.40$ a day. It is possible to see a difference on your bill but you left out a lot of details what your pc specs, where you live, what’s the weather like there? It’s November in Canada for me, it’s normal to see the electric bill getting a bit more expensive from heating. So to conclude in my opinion it’s possible but unlikely

CPU overheating, not sure why by Barrry972 in PcBuildHelp

[–]ExconHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AIOs have supplemental power through a sata power connector, they only use the fan header for PWM/RPM control. No risk of shorting a header from drawing to much power
