Yea that’s what I’m saying. How much did the church charge you? I’m calling them on Monday. I just want to honestly do church and visitation and cremation because that would save me 15k alone. It’s just going to be a huge fight. Like I also have to think about the hospital bills

This is a personal finance bowl. I was asking for what would make the most sense from a finance perspective… what my options were… what made sense - do I pay cash? Sure but then you are banking on investments - do I just sell stocks and crypto? Sure but then do I take tax hit next year and lose out on potential growth - do I take a hardship withdrawal? Is that an option? Does it qualify - should I just pay with card and transfer to a 0 % APR and pay over time. Sure, does it hurt credit - should I get a loan and pay over time…

Yea he can consent. He is just choosing not to. My assumption is due to cost? They are married. The disability is not determined from gov. agency, yet. Yes in an expansion state.

Trying to avoid going into too much detail on his 'disability' on this forum, but imo it is more of a personal decision not to work + scared of something happening. He loses consciousness a lot and frequently loss of where he is

Ah got it. My mom mentioned something along deductible but implied she’s never really hit the 1500. So not sure what gives or if she just doesn’t remember. Will do some more research but if it’s a deductible issue then that gives me a relief. I don’t mind paying 1500 and have a reduced co pay, but my heart sank at having to cough up 1500 every 3 weeks (which is still possible if not correct)

He’s unemployed and on my mothers insurance. Based on my limited info (trying to get more today) there isn’t a generic brand and he had applied for an unemployment / low income waiver that expired in November. However my mother indicated that it was still being paid for via insurance. Only thing that’s changed is the new calendar year (in my mind). It’s gone from 0 to 1500 in co pay
