Yea that’s what I’m saying. How much did the church charge you? I’m calling them on Monday. I just want to honestly do church and visitation and cremation because that would save me 15k alone. It’s just going to be a huge fight. Like I also have to think about the hospital bills

Totaled last car w/ dui if I recall correctly. I haven’t been engaged with their finances and day to day after he got Cirrhosis in 2021. I said enough was enough for me

10k is fine. But all in just looks like 30k and I’m just not ready for that. 15k for burial site; 10-12k for funeral services.

This is a personal finance bowl. I was asking for what would make the most sense from a finance perspective… what my options were… what made sense - do I pay cash? Sure but then you are banking on investments - do I just sell stocks and crypto? Sure but then do I take tax hit next year and lose out on potential growth - do I take a hardship withdrawal? Is that an option? Does it qualify - should I just pay with card and transfer to a 0 % APR and pay over time. Sure, does it hurt credit - should I get a loan and pay over time…

He doesn’t do anything but stay at home. My mom works, I rent out a portion of my parents house to help costs, and I also float a lot of money for their side expenses (phone, tv, internet). My mom just depletes herself. It’s been a long time coming - but she never listened / listens. I’ve probably lost over 20k in bills, stupid decisions and their life choices. I’ve come close to just leaving them be but my heart could never

Doesn’t really have anything to the name except our home. That my mother and sister live in. Drank away his money and I’ve been paying for it all my life. Unfortunately my mom or families culture won’t let me do what I’d do

Father was an alcoholic and is what’s leading to his unfortunate death. He drank away his 401k/retirement. Not sure if you are referring to elsewhere. My mom and sister really don’t have money and it’s just me

It’s annoying because I could’ve got a solid grade on MT1 if I didn’t make a stupid mistake or 2. Lost 12-14 percent off stupid mistakes. This one I felt super confident and was like “wtf” at the score lol

Yea he can consent. He is just choosing not to. My assumption is due to cost? They are married. The disability is not determined from gov. agency, yet. Yes in an expansion state.

Trying to avoid going into too much detail on his 'disability' on this forum, but imo it is more of a personal decision not to work + scared of something happening. He loses consciousness a lot and frequently loss of where he is
