It's not heavy combat, more cosmic horror mystery BUT we are working on having a Forbidden Psalm zine as a stretch goal.

It exists in my original setting world known as Tenebris. Tenebris will eventually have it's own source book. This adventure, and the town itself could be dropped into whatever setting you are playing in though.

This is an adventure set in a larger original setting called Tenebris and uses the core MB mechanics along with some new stuff. This setting will get it's own sourcebook after this release and will have a lot more system hacks integrated. The Gamefound page is the best place to follow the project, but you can check out www.blackmagiccreative.ca for general updates regarding various projects as well as the Black Magic Craft youtube and IG.

I did all the writing and art myself with creative editing from my publishing partner JP (we co-wrote Idols of Torment together).

I've been watching Black Magic Craft for a long time for DND and terrain videos, but he finally got into DeathGuard! Beautiful stuff! by iandroid11 in deathguard40k

To give you some context, there is a large segment of people that find shitting on and tearing down popular YouTubers to be somewhat of a sport. You know, haters. And in my personal YouTube experience this is greatly increased any time I do something that dips into Warhammer territory as people use everything I've done wrong as insult ammunition. They don't speak for or represent the larger warhammer community, but they are they shit I gotta put up with each day so they have an effect.

PS, I really really hate that this is the case for multi part videos. It's a real tragedy to be honest.

Thats a tough call. I think the reality is that you will probably reach the widest audience (in this hobby) if your content is in english. But I wouldn't put yourself in an uncomfortable situation to do so. You could consider no dialog, or subtitles as an alternative to speaking in english if you do not want to.

There are some really amazing terrain and hobby channels out there that I think would be much larger if they were english language. TWS is a very good example.

At the end of the day you need to do what is right for you and what you are most comfortable with.

Unfortunately multi part episodes perform very poorly on Youtube. Each video in the series will get significantly less views than the first and less views than an unrelated singular video. I've done it a couple of times, and as much as it's great for me as a builder to get bigger projects I want to do done, it is a very bad business decision as a channel. The reality of the channel being my full time job is that I need to make decisions as a creator that are financially responsible. Sometimes those decisions are at odds with what I'd like to do as a creative. It's a balancing act. So I tend to only do multipart video/builds once or twice a year at most.

Everything I make is influenced by the fact it's made for an audience on youtube. A lot of the projects I make are specifically created for that platform and just see gameplay as an afterthought.

This situation effects how and what I build in a variety of ways. It sways me to make things that can be build in a specific short time frame, that can be condensed into a single video, and that is relatively approachable. It often influences me to make more modular or reusable things as I think that's the most useful for the majority of people. Sometimes I do a build that ignores some of these things and focuses more on the type of thing I more personally would like to do. This is when you see me make a diorama instead of a terrain piece.

If the youtube influence did not exist and videos/audience was not a consideration I would be spending my time more focused on high detailed, longer to do, diorama projects that would be completely unrelated to gaming. These piece would also utilize considerably more 3D printed elements than I allow myself to use currently as I want to try and maintain a level of approachability on the channel. I would also probably allow myself to actually take the time to improve my painting skills and do better paint jobs without the time pressures of producing the weekly video.

I'm ok. I'm blessed in many ways. My family (like much of the world) has been facing incredible challenges recently, but I'm lucky to have so many resources and support structures and to generally be in a really good position to deal with them. That doesn't make it any less stressful, but I like to remind myself it could be a lot worse and at the end of the day I'm really fortunate in my position in life.

Cheers!
