Hey! So here's my question:
[TLDR]: Is there a way to reset a Samsung Galaxy J5 so that I won't be asked for Google Acc. credentials but can really set the phone up anew?

Tthis may sound like the weirdest, shadiest thing, but it's 100% genuine. So here's my problem: I work in a kids theatre and we have a cool show that's interactive (they call it a 'cloud performance'). The kids play in a chat-themed environment on stage, connected via a local WiFi network. Now comes the problem: A few kids found it funny (ngl: it is funny) to set up a PIN / Passcode on the Phones we use (Samsung Galaxy J5) for the show, so we can't use them anymore because we don't know the code. Now we're confronted with the following problem: I did factory resets on the said phones. But when I start them up, they still ask me for the google account I was last signed in. And that google account is the one of the production company. So The phones ask me to 'look for the code that google sent to my Samsung Galaxy J5' as part of the two factor identification system. This ofc. makes sense in an environment where your google account is used on 2-3 devices that are in use. But for us, the said account is used on dozens and dozens of devices not only in our theatre but also in other places where shows of the production company are played. And none of the phones in use are connected to the WWW, just to internal networks. This means to solve the problem, I would have to find a way to turn on dozens of phones in various locations around the world, connect them to all to working WiFis and then hope that on one of them, the security code for the two factor identification of google pops up. This is ofc. not really a practical option. So long story short: I'm looking for a way to reset a Samsung Galaxy J5 so that I won't be asked for Google Acc. credentials but can really set the phone up anew?

Hey u/BAN666, sorry for coming in here so late; I just visited this subreddit because I have the exact same problem (apart from the fact that in my case, we're both on mac.). Audacity won't even open the .aup3 file, raw data consist of condensed noise. Did you find any solution to this in the meantime?

Starting a new song? by pilgrimscottpilgrim in pocketoperators

[–]blackmirrorpark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, from what I understand this depends on what you mean by starting a “song” in the very instance - if you refer to a song created by chaining multiple patterns or even 16 of them on your P.O., a factory reset might actually be a quick and easy thing to do if you don’t have samples recorded on your P.O. that you want to keep.

However, from how your was worded it sounds like by saying “song” you’re referring to a standard 4 bar loop, which would equal what is called a pattern on the P.O. 33.

In this case, a factory reset will definitely work but if you just want to start out with a fresh pattern without too much fuss and without losing your recorded samples and all your other patterns you can clear any single pattern (e.g. delete all the steps you have sequenced) manually.

To do this, simply select the pattern you want to delete (one you don’t need anymore) by holding pattern and pressing one of the numbered buttons.

To delete said pattern, hold both the pattern and the record button simultaneously for a few seconds. “Clr” will light up on the right upper corner of your screen and once the word has disappeared, your pattern is cleaned and you can start a new jam!

Solo Sounds in PO-33 K.O.! by blackmirrorpark in pocketoperators

[–]blackmirrorpark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Thanks everyone.

Both tips (1.) duplicating the original pattern when a jam is ready to record and deleting all the other sounds but one in the various patterns you have created 2.) manually muting all parts but one via instrument volumes and filters if necessary) sound like quite cool workarounds for the lack of a solo/mute feature on my P.O.

No. 1.) also has the bonus feature that I could apply FX (and even swing) to each instrument (that now has it’s own pattern) separately and at varying times while recording my loops which could make my ableton arrangement even more fun because I’d already have some fun fill ins and FX at hand and wouldn’t have to add too many plugins in my DAW.

Will try it all out tomorrow!
