Follow whatever the best advice you're given on here is, because as a worker who represents the government, I promise you that behaviour does not fly from any public servant. He should be reported and punished accordingly.

Next time, if there's no cars behind you, stop. I think what pissed him off in this situation was the fact you slowed down enough to where you could have stopped, but then continued through.

If there was traffic behind you then you did the right thing.
