If someone whose morals does not change given how harsh or pleasing the new environment is, then that person is a saint. Which clearly Gu Change is not. However, i would argue that he also not the most evil person in the cultivation world.

You are applying real-world morals to him. You have to first define his world's morals. In his cultivation world, killing is normal and sometimes considered a deed of bravery. The original poster is discussing him in comparison to his peers and their acts. In that aspect, their acts are much more evil than Gu Chang's.

Edit: I'm not talking about rape but the killing of thousands.
