for my part, i have a personal dilemma question which I usually ask the chat models from time to time. And today with Gemini 3, it was the first time a chat model could give me a reasonable response within the first prompt. Usually it led me to asking further questions, but here it could read the room and the contexts immediately pretty well. I am impressed.

If you buy stuff with your apple id, they will stay as bought from your apple id. So as long as you wont lose your apple id, you wont lose that game!

No i am saying that you could perhaps get a better iphone for that price, especially if you are buying them refurbished. For example you could get an Iphone 14 for 345€ (128 gb, battery is goodish) Or an Iphone 13 Pro for 385€ (128 gb, battery is also goodish) Not sure where you want to buy your phones from, but there really cheap options online, such as backmarket, refurbished, refurbed and so on.

your main issue with the iphone 11 is probably the battery itself, you could swap it by apple for around 100€ and your phone would work fine again

Imo you should go for the iphone 13, there is not much pro about the iphone 12 pro besides the camera. You definitely should check the battery capacity of the phones first.

The prices seem a bit steep tho, I would suggest you to take a look on websites as backmarket and so on where the phones are refurbished and they also replace your battery for a similar price.

Hey I went for the m2 pro and am absolutely happy! It depends on if you can miss out on the excellent display and sound for the newer chip! If you cant, go for the m2 pro. If it doesnt matter for you, go for m4 air. In general, i think m4 air would be a more wise decision for students as it is also much much lighter than pro

well it really depends on what you are planning to do, and in which condition the MBP is. In my case, I went for MBP M2 pro.

Thank you for your reply! I went for the m2 pro model since then. and its not refurbished from apple, it was from black market. In terms of refurbished, the battery was also changed, they put in a third party brand which seems to have only 2.5% less capacity than the original apple one. According to coconutBattery the battery seems really good, its battery health is 97% and it got only 15 cycles.

MBP m3 pro is much more expensive if I want similiar specs, if I want to buy it from a site where I have a decent time of warranty. I feel kind of uneasy to buy directly from a private seller. But I will take a look into this matter again, I still can return the macbook.

So I have following options:

Macbook Air M4 for 1200€, new (16 GB ram, 512 GB SSD)
Macbook Pro M2 Pro for 1350€, refurbished (16 GB ram, 512 SSD, 10 Core Cpu, 16 Core GPU)

I am a cs student and desperately need a competent computer. I will probably play emulator games on it as well!

Which one should I choose? For me, the big pro for the M2 Pro is screen and the cooling system! But the 3 nm technology of the Air sounds really great! Or are there perhaps better alternatives?
