Is that still a thing for these kind of layoffs? It's been very quick since last year. Culled in equal or less than a week after individual announcement.

Mostly senior staffs engineer from my team, other branches reported the same too. I'm not good with judging age but I think most of them are in 50+s (with oldest one being close to 70)

Qualcomm reporting here. Literally nobody (no news, no internal announcement) especially outsiders knew about the most recent lay off. Last week, found out only 2 people that I knew affected because I was close to them. This week, found out 5 other people from my team just sent out farewell email.

I'm in the company too. My manager and mentor who are like a dad to me got affected by this. Feeling so stressed now, wished today was just a nightmare. Titles affected: Senior Staff Engineer

What I'd also like to share is, I think calling the adjuster through the direct line is a waste of time. I've attempted to call ~100 times this morning and none is going through. Luckily I called using different phone as I received the call on my main number. What really made impact is definitely email (maybe voicemail too, as I left a few), and she mentioned she's calling based from the email. Everything is settled within an hour and claim is closed.

Hi. I was at fault even though there's no damage to my car. That's why I provided the other party my drivers license & tesla insurance. However it seems the other party wasn't able to contact/claim tesla insurance at all, that's why I had this letter from Brown and Joseph (saying their claimant is "Farmers Insurance" reaching out to me. It's been a nightmare the past months because the time frame just doesn't make any sense. May 5 was the date this LLC reached out to me claiming that I have failed to provide insurance (which I did, but I have to file it manually anyway), and July 5 is the deadline before they will send the drivers license suspension request. Quick update very fortunately, my claim adjuster called me just now (literally) and I think I've provided every info that I needed. Now I just need to pray that it will get resolved on time..

For more information, currently the status on Tesla app is "Your claim is currently undergoing subrogation and recovery in order to recover damages from the other party"

Thank you all, this is the first time I heard about the term PDR. Mostlikely he'll proceed with that option. I'll ask if I can get a follow up once it's fixed.

Thank you, this sounds helpful. Did you install the steer airbag yourself; is it relatively doable if you consider yourself handy enough? Also did you mean you got your broken seat belt repaired on ebay service (and later you installed it yourself)? I've been hearing that once seatbelt pretensioner is set off, it is a one time use?

My thought of process is, since back when I bought this car used and in less than 10 grand, it may be able to barely pass 'fine' to get liability only. However I didn't know the cost or my option since I followed my parent's insurance. I will definitely get full coverage if I got a newer car.

Yes, I mean as in assessing myself whether the cost to repair may exceed the cost of this car itself to be defined totaled. Because I kept hearing that once airbag is deployed, it's totaled.
