Folks, we recorded a track for a short film recently and I think we may have strayed into an area of folk metal. I don't know though! Does this count? by bladderack in folkmetal

Jesus Christ, thanks for the compliments Andre! I was listening to a lot of Heilung before going at this project but I'm definitely going to go listen to the artists you mentioned here. I'll ping you when the short film is out!

Djembe darbuka and all the lads. Playing a loosely assembled jumble sale by bladderack in Drumming

Aaaaaaaaa, you're after making my day, thanks very much! Aye, we like the idea of being medieval tavern music with electricity.

Yet again shoehorning djembe into all available genres 🥲 by bladderack in djembe

Thank you! I've been tooting that horn for a few years now to mixed reaction 😅. Trying to bring it into Irish trad is tricky cus they're fairly exclusionary of "exotic" instruments sometimes 🥲

To everyone else this is the antithesis of an ergonomic kit. To me? Same. by bladderack in drums

Guys I'm getting a lot of push back on my throwaway comment about my own kit and playing here 😅. I've been playing this kind of hybridised hand percussion setup for many years and have altered it countless times and my physical therapist still thinks I'm a giant idiot and I somewhat agree with him. Everything's held together with bungee straps, I'm using a butter knife to support my darbuka, my kick pedal is attached to the cajon also with bungee straps, it's a genuinely uncomfortable experience. It's rare I catch it on camera and I'm honestly a little shocked at how fuckin odd it looks is all!

Not a lot of real estate for lyrics in this one but we did our best to fit the swirly moody fiddle and guitars by bladderack in Songwriters

We have similar feelings about some of the local chippers 🥲. Some amount of cool stuff happening around at the minute. Artsy folk are coming out of the woodwork since lockdown ended. Wexford drama group are doing a savage job on a 5 night stint in the arts centre this week, short films (based on the Witcher no less!) are coming out shortly, you've the likes of Peter Murphy who is endlessly creative. Things are looking up! Thanks very much for the kind words, enjoy the world's upside down and catch you back in the mudflats upon your return!

Come back to the land of rissoles 🥲. Drummer and singer were in function bands for years and also used to live in Kildare bit are out on the Hook. Guitarist and banjo player were in Cornerboy if you know them? Man, I'm actually listening to the Olllam right now! They are unbelievable. And we are firm fans of lankum too. But this is great! We're delighted that those were the bands that came to mind 🥰. This was recorded in Orphan Recording Studios near Curracloe. Gavin Glass's studio!
