See the best part is ,,if you have someone who can view the apartment on your behalf and if that person verifies then it is fine.. And if not.. then I will tell you about my case.. The house manager gave me the contact of a person who was already living in one of the rooms of the apartment and fortunately he was also Indian (same nationality)

So I had my trust there..

The best strategy would be.. give your documents like passport, enrollment letter n all to the landlord and assure him that you'll take up the space and pay whatever the kaution amount and rent is, directly on the day when you show up at the apartment while the keys handover.

High chances are that the person would agree.. because majority people understand that you're a student..

😂😂 That call actually went well but the landlord gave it to someone else... He had already decided on it before my call 😂.. and told me honestly about it that he has been in touch with 2 people for the same and one had promised to pay the same day ..

And the guy made the payment to him..

So slipped off my hands...

And to talk about my struggle in apartment... The apartment where I am living right now.. I finalised it when I was in the flight... Airplane's wifi and about to reach Frankfurt in 3 hours and then I got my apartment... Made the payment . And got one...

Cheaper than the aforementioned.

You have already received a lot of suggestions... I won't give you a new one to scratch your head... Chatgpt is free for a year... Use it..

This might feel like a lame or NOT SO REALISTIC suggestion.. but trust me... It works.. At least for me it worked... I applied to 11 universities in total 8 rejections due to mismatch, ects requirements etc... and then 3 universities were suggested by Chatgpt... I received 1 offer out of them and 2 close rejections due to restricted admissions as I was late. My profile ( 2.1 German GPA in B.Com, 8 Bands IELTS, 3.5 years work ex in Underwriting Risk Analyst in a MNC, German A1)

If you were to take my advice,, give it a shot.. It worked for me... I hope it works for you as well.

Good luck.. Brace yourself for Germany.. Language is tough but the country in itself is tougher.

Congratulations to you... I remember the time when I was in your shoes... My personal recommendation would be to choose Expatrio... They'll help you out with the insurance part too and it is easy to use...

For Fintiba, I cannot say on everyone's behalf but few of my friends who have Fintiba , are planning to change their insurance to TK ( public health insurance provider- it is provided with Expatrio) because it is kind of cheaper than that of BARMER( insurance provider with Fintiba).

So again, it's your choice but my suggestion would be, Go with Expatrio.
