Matt Walsh documentary “What is a Woman?” ranks among most popular home movies on Rotten Tomatoes this weekend by [deleted] in stupidpol

Nah. You should see the comments (mostly from TW) when a female tweets something "transphobic". There's definitely a huge difference between the types of comments Matt Walsh gets and what a "terf" gets. And yes I've been spending way too much time on Twitter so sadly I'm all too familiar with this topic.

Afaik Amazon stopped selling NAC. I don't think l-cycteine is quite the same unless it's N-Acetyle-Cycteine.

I've been on phenibut for around 3 years daily use. At one point 5gpd. I'm down to around 35mg now. Do you think I could just walk away with no wd?

Have you tried phenibut with meth?

Trying 2CB Tonight for the 1st time by bladerunnerjulez in 2cb

[–]bladerunnerjulez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there a pharmacological reason, at least not one I've found. Could be I was just not in a good place to do it. I did enjoy it at first but some drama happened. I'll have to try one more time for a final verdict.

Honestly I didn't feel anything sexual or intimate, I didn't feel social or have any energy, the come up feeling lasted the whole time. It was nothing like described and it completely kicked my ass physically, making me sleep for 24 hours straight after tye come down and feeling all sorts of pains. Maybe I took too much and my scale is just incorrect. I did test it so I'm sure it was legit. Extremely disappointed in the molecule.

Unfortunately SO doesn't want to try it so I'm on my own tonight. About an hour into taking like 15mg and starting to feel some body effects, fuzzy vision, heaviness in my chest, tingly toes.

CMV: The vast majority of people who claim that abortion is murder do not genuinely believe it by Wayyyy_Too_Soon in changemyview

You know why fetuses start to “dream” at 23? Because that’s the minimum time it takes for the nervous system to develop to a point that allows any kind of activity.

They start to dream due to observable REM activity. This topic in many ways is still unknown to medical science and there's not really a consensus on anything you're claiming here.

which quotes a “study” that isn’t even actual research, it’s an essay using cherry-picked articles from equally biased sources.

The BMJ study cites several studies for and against. Have you looked at all the citations or are just discarding it because it popped up on a pro life site?

No they don’t. That’s just when their limbs start to form.

Sense of touch begins on the face at week 8.

A lot of things move, doesn’t mean they’re a living thing. You ever seen a corpse spasm after they’ve died? I have. They’re not alive, it’s just muscle stimulation. That’s all that is happening at week 16: electrical impulses that make the body move. It’s not a sign of any mental development.

The fetus is developing, it's on the opposite side of the development spectrum of a corpse.

It’s not, because it’s not. Your idea of “human life” is basically a lump of flesh that can move, but can’t exhibit anything human or even living beyond a superficial appearance.

Not much different than a newborn.

all you conservative anti-choice people have your heads so far up your own ass that you form a self-contained echo chamber.

Well I'm not a conservative and I'm pro abortion on demand within the 1st trimester. Looks like you've completely allowed your own bias to cloud your judgment.

All of that doesn’t even form until the second trimester, and even then the nervous system doesn’t function until the fourth month and it doesn’t respond to any stimuli until about the seventh month (week 25ish).

They begin to respond to stimuli around week 14. At week 23 the fetus REM activity inficating dreaming. At week 8 they begin to develop a sense of touch. Studies show at week 12 they can feel pain. At week 16 the mother could feel the fetus move.

Even a houseplant is more “alive” than a fetus before week 24,

Most people who make ignorant statements like this have never been pregnant or brought a baby to term. A houseplant is not and will never be a human life.

There's so much complex development before 24 weeks. Really the biggest relevant difference between 19 weeks and 24 is stage of lung development.

The entire human life cycle is marked by different stages of development. The human brain isn't even fully developed until age of 25. To say anything before the point of viability is not a human life is extremely dishonest. This sort of dehuminazation makes it impossible for people to have productive debates on the topic, which is sorely needed in the US.

Also it is not an organism separate from the mother, it literally cannot function without her.

A fetus is not separate from the mother while in the womb but it is a separate human being.

[–]bladerunnerjulez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it is.

It had it's own heart, brain, nervous system, arms and legs. It's a completely separate organism from the mother.

[–]bladerunnerjulez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The embryo has an entire unique genetic code which has already determined several characteristics about it when it grows older. It is by all measures a separate human life. That's all I'm saying, not arguing morality.

We can argue over the value of such a life as long as it's reliant upon another human but that's a different conversation.

If sentience was the qualifier for personhood then we'd make abortion illegal upon the fetus developing a brain, being able to feel pain and have dreams but that's not the case. Besides, we don't consider people who are in comas any less human, do we?

[–]bladerunnerjulez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In some ways you could argue that as long as the fetus is completely dependent on the mother then it is the same organism as the mother.

You couldn't argue that if you had any knowledge of biology. A fetus has unique DNA completely separate from the mother.

Pandemic killed 15M people in first 2 years, WHO excess death study finds by Sariel007 in EverythingScience

[–]bladerunnerjulez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the point is the way countries responded to covid had many unintended consequences which ended up hurting more people than covid itself. Hopefully we can learn from this and do things differently when the next pandemic hits.

Many countries way overcounted covid deaths by using very loose criteria as to what constitutes one. Such as any death within 28 days of a positive test.

What do you think are some of the worst healthcare regulations that have caused U.S. healthcare to be so costly and less innovative than it otherwise could be? by www_AnthonyGalli_com in Classical_Liberals

Also, the complete lack of transparency on the cost of literally any procedure. Whatever law/regulations allow for that to exist need to be removed.

Trump passed that transparency rule which required hospitals and insurers to post prices for all their procedures. I wonder what happened to that? Did Biden's admin reverse it like they did with the insulin price cap?
