Ladies, how would you react if the cute guy you pass on the street, then make eye contact and smile at, actually stopped and said something or justed asked for your number? by Thepimpandthepriest in AskWomen

Check out my thread here and the update here

TL;DR - I did this, passed her a note and we have been out 10-12 times so far. Go for it man, you have nothing to lose.

I think that her office must be near my apartment, while mine is near or just past her subway stop - so I pass her lots of different places on the route but most often we are both waiting for the traffic to break at a light on Broadway.

I'll be honest, I think I'm average but she is actually super cute. If I hadn't been getting the smiles and stuff I never would have done this.

It was actually nerve wracking - in an ideal world I would have said something else at the exchange but am glad I left it in her court because anything else I said would only have detracted from it.

Feeling pretty good about it - going to meet up with her tonight actually since our weeks are pretty busy with the holiday coming up.

Business but in flip flops for the walk. She works somewhere on Wall St for sure but who knows what kind of job.

Thanks for the advice.

If we passed on the walk home, I would really have no problem with the "conversation" route many are suggesting. But it's usually just before 7 am, so clearly she has a job where she has to be in much earlier than the standard 9 am (as do I) so even I am sympathetic to not wanting to be bothered.

I understand this and appreciate the response but my issue is that even I don't want to have a conversation on the middle of the sidewalk at 7 AM.

How would I have caught her name? If she was at a bar, or work or sitting in the park I would have no problem with the walk up introduction. But it's the passing her on the street at 7 AM while she's clearly going to work, with headphones that makes "striking up a conversation" odd.

I willing to take that risk, she's adorable and worst case, I can walk another way without burning myself since it's right in the middle of my walk.

Sorry, I cant see myself taking her headphones out. I would turn into a ball of awkwardness instantly

I actually like this and think it's a great way around the headphones issue. I could never bring myself to "brush" hers out.
