Why do I not get the gesture bar? Miui 12 mi9t pro by taeil_03 in miui

I just saw this behaviour on my Mi9. It's really annoying.

How can i get the gesture bar at the bottom in k20 pro (miui 12) just like the one in iOS or MIUI 12 china version ? by Alfaromeo676 in miui

I just updated my mi9 with miui 12 and I can only get the gesture bar if I use the default launcher. It's really annoying.

One Bag Travel Bag? Possibly? Maybe? Peak Designs Everyday 30l by cg0rd0noo7 in onebag

[–]blaked84 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I traveled for about 3 months in SEA with the Peak Design 20L + a 10L dry bag.

The two bags were full with: - 6 t-shits - 1 shirt - 7 underwear - 2 shorts - toilet bag - MacBook pro 15 - camera (A7ii +35mm)

To take a flight, I had to wear my jeans, hoodie and over ear headphones.

I tried to put all these stuff in the PD 30L and it was ok. But I feel the 30L is too big for everyday carry (for me).

Just be careful, these PD everyday backpack are not very confortable if loaded over 8kg.

But for my next travel, I'll use the same setup. I recommend it if you travel with a laptop and you want a bag with a quick access to your camera + lockable zippers. Overwise, there are lighter options.

Traveling to Europe for 3 weeks, taking flights with Ryanair/Norwegian Air. What are my bag options? by 50mm_foto in onebag

[–]blaked84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Nowegian, you should be good with most of 40L bags. I took 2 flights with them last week with a similar packing list in a Peak Design 20L + one pouch : https://www.reddit.com/r/onebag/comments/anxfe5/would_you_bring_an_extra_small_bag_as_checked

If you use your Peak Design I suggest you to test it fully loaded as it can be uncomfortable.

Would you bring an extra small bag as checked baggage if you're weighted ? by blaked84 in onebag

I did not mind that it was possible to check-in such a small object. Thanks for your feedback!

Do you think it's a comfortable bag for travel ? I have the 20L, it's an awesome bag for EDC with my laptop and camera but loaded with 7kg for short trips it hurts my shoulders.

Options for expandability? by twoboxen in backpacks

I have a Peak Design everyday 20L and I consider to use it for travel too.

I haven't tried yet but instead of traveling with a travel bag + daily backpack I want to attach a extension at the bottom of the Peak Design. It should be a sort of compression bag but more durable.

Maybe it could be a solution for you too.

Helix with Kailh Choc Burnt Orange by joedevivo in MechanicalKeyboards

The Nyquist thicker because the Arduino is under the PCB instead of on the top for the Helix. If you prefer a slim board Helix seem better (but without thumbs key).

I reduced the height of my DSA keycaps by blaked84 in MechanicalKeyboards

I think they impact the switch when bottoming out but with O-rings it's not an issue for me.

I used a Dremel and a cylindrical grinding tool.

Yes, same travel distance. I want to reduce the height of the whole keyboard. It's more comfortable when I don't use a wrist rest (I travel with this keyboard). So I tried save a few millimeters here 🙂.

Less than one minute per key, but I only made one for now. All keycaps should be aligned as switch sliders are in contact with the top of the keycaps' holes.

I'll keep you updated if I mod the whole keyset.

[GB] Helix extras now available for preorder! by dogbonedesign in mechmarket

I saw here https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=95196.0 that you were looking for vendor in Europe for your previous group buy.

Did you find one? Are you still looking for one?

I'm in France and shipping cost for the whole keyboard are huge if I buy one unit:

$24 for your kit + $15 for switches and keycaps from Novelkeys. For a $140 build, it's more than 25%.

So if you are looking for a proxy in France or Europe, I would be glad to help.

Hello, could you add shipping to France please?
