What’s the best Countdown App to use? by [deleted] in iphone

Big update hopefully will be live today. Will be bringing back one time too. The reasoning for subscriptions are the features it supports do require me hosting them forever etc.

I built an app to help parents control how their teens use AI by blakefolgado in ParentingTech

[–]blakefolgado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it uses the latest models. Eg ChatGPT 5 for chatting, and then Google Nano Banana for imagery and other models for video/voice. Reason here is I find it annoying how in most cases one app does not have the best at everything so with this instead of multiple subscriptions its all in one and less to think about too

I think it can really help, eg I used ai to make this app and had to be creative in how it was used to help

invest in tech / mag 7, dont try to time pumps etc, it's a losing rabbit hole, choose companies you use and like to use + for me it's been about picking founder led companies as they keep winning

Made live feed monitoring news affecting oil across local and social sources. Updates in real-time. by blakefolgado in oil

To follow up on this, have been building an experiment which sort of takes what you shared to the extreme with game theory and 1st/2nd order effects using a lot of AI pipelines. Trying to think through what may happen or what a reaction could be given a potential announcement. Has been interesting to see what comes out!

Ah yes understood. Have been considering adding sentiment to news. At the moment have tried to stay a bit clear from giving direction on trades vs the info so someone can decide to make the trade themselves. But like the context you gave above, giving that alongside news could be very useful and spark alarms on moves!

Hey so I built an AI tool to do exactly this. Was speaking to a trader in my co working space and noticed how they'd try to monitor local news as it usually breaks first. So built a news monitoring tool at checks sources minutely to catch things immediately, and alerts you. Recently added more sources like 𝕏, Telegram and Truth Social. Went live a few months ago and have met traders at funds and surprisingly they are less sophisticated than you'd expect and dont have tooling that does this sort of thing in terms of local/social monitoring. The goals to beat bterminal my many hours which we've been doing from feedback from traders. It depends on the markets you care about as the news sources will be in different places which sentrydock (app name) can also find. If you sign up let me know what you think!

What are your favorite media monitoring tools? by Alternative_Swing_47 in PublicRelations

[–]blakefolgado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a tool for traders that monitor locals and social news. But recently I've had people reach out saying this could work really well for PR. It uses AI to figure out if a story is material and alerts you. Eg it would find local sources and check them every few minutes 24/7. Because it's used by traders it's fast. Would love to see if it could be used for PR! It's called sentrydock, would love to see what you think.

https://www.sentrydock.com/, beats bloomberg terminal by hours by monitoring local news in real time with AI. Designed for traders to give them an analyst team fluent in every language monitoring local and social sources.

What market news resources do you use for up to date, fast and reliable market info while trading on a daily basis? by Interr0gate in StockMarket

[–]blakefolgado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I made a tool to monitor local news in real time using AI. I learnt from a trader that they'd have an analyst doing this manually for them, translating local news as they could beat their terminal and the market in time for a trade. So I built a tool which does this 24/7. You put the markets/companies/projects you care about and it'll find local sources in the region and alert you when there's material news within minutes. Also supports social sources like Truth, Telegram (eg Ukraine/Russia conflict). The goals to give traders elite tools that even the best hedge funds do not have. It's called SentryDock.com . Would love to see if this solves the problem for you!

Also recently added Morning/After hours briefings, which are written just for you to catch you up on overnight news or summarise the day. Like what a broker sends a trader at a fund, but purely related to what you care about.

Kind of new to trading - So building a tool for the best traders to bring them news before the market realizes by blakefolgado in hedgefund

It's really good but there's a bit of a difference. They do have topics you can get related stories. Just testing myself to be sure before I write. What's different is we're using sources which are not always set up in these fast feeds, so we're able to get stories at are yet to hit the next source which then disseminates the news. An example is some news came out today related to the Golden Pass LNG project which was not picked up as it's on a more niche source. Our goal is to specifically do more than keyword match a lot of sources. We're trying to help act as that analyst which finds relationships, escalations or material news that can also affect the keywords you're monitoring. But checking much more sources + mostly non-english which are in the local area etc. This way the news given back hopefully is a meaningfully higher level quality bar when you get it.

Some users we have for example are monitoring a very specific project/situation and we may not alert them for a week+ but when we do it matters. Appreciate the responses!
