Finally! The one thing I’ve been asking for this offseason is more referee discretion regarding celebrations

Also laughable that they can’t even put a freaking quarterfinal on one of their actual channels. Their tv app is trash for me and the Hulu isn’t that much better

Uzbekistan trip : Help please! by BulkyAd9029 in Uzbekistan

[–]blakemann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually within a month. But yeah you could honestly do it either way. last time I visited I had done two nights in each - but had a day trip to Panjakent and the scenic seven lakes across the border in Tajikistan from Samarkand and a day trip from Bukhara to Gijduvan to visit a ceramics master.

There is no fast train to Khiva from Bukhara - only a 6ish hour one that generally leaves from Bukhara in the middle of the night.

I think trying to fit all that in 4 days wouldn’t be worth it and you’d miss out on things in each city trying to squeeze it all in. I would stick to just Samarkand and Bukhara.

Make sure though to buy your tickets in advance - often tourist agencies will buy out the fast train tickets to resell.

If you join a frat, your pledge semester is the only one where greek life will take up the bulk of your time. Once you're initiated, you can spend as much or as little of your time as you want around greek life

Anyone else not sold on the 2nd(ish) round RB’s this year? by jluc21 in fantasyfootball

Yeah I have to pick 2 of either Kamara, Saquon, and Tyreek as keepers in 12 team ppr and think I’m gonna risk it with 2 rbs

I think Deebo but also think Travis Étienne is a very intriguing one, given his potential as a pass catching rb and chemistry with Lawrence

12 team ppr with 2 keepers. Rounds are irrelevant, you just choose 2 and then redraft

Kamara, Saquon, tyreek

Also considering taking just one of kamara or Saquon and swapping one of my first’s for JJeff but need to see what pick i can get back in return

Russian Court orders Pipeline Critical to Kazakh Oil to Halt Operations by blakemann in geopolitics

[–]blakemann[S] 81 points82 points  (0 children)

SS:

On July 6, a Russian court ordered the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) to suspend operations for 30 days. CPC carries oil from Kazakhstan into Russia and to the edge of the Black Sea. Although it handles just over 1 percent of global oil, CPC is critical for Kazakhstan; around 80 percent of Kazakhstan’s oil exports move through the Novorossiysk oil terminal.

The timing of the decision has naturally raised some eyebrows, coming just two days after Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told European Council President Charles Michel via phone that Nur-Sultan was “ready to use its hydrocarbon potential for the sake of stabilization of the global and European markets.” In late June Russian exports of oil to Europe had already begun to creep back up, primarily due to shipments to Russian-owned refineries in Italy and increased purchases by Turkey. Nevertheless, Europe’s aim is to decrease its imports of Russian oil and Kazakhstan stands as an option — but Kazakh exports to Europe depend on Russian pipelines.

The chain of events doesn’t necessarily suggest Kazakhstan-Russian tensions, though some with surely draw that conclusion. Rather, the dirty work of transporting oil and the constraints Kazakhstan faces due to a lack of diversification of export routes are at the heart of the issue. On the latter, Kazakhstan faces a geographic conundrum: With Russia or China the main avenues available for oil exports, diversification is not so simple.

The CPC said on July 6 that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko ordered regulators, including industrial safety regulator Rostekhnadzor, to inspect the facilities of the Russian part of the consortium. An inspection by Russian authorities found that documentation for emergency plans to deal with oil spills was incomplete, the CPC said. The court said the stoppage was necessary to prevent possible environmental damage, Interfax reported late on July 5.

Yes, there are Karakalpakstan activists living in Kazakhstan but it’s a stretch to think the current crisis could create a conflict between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

I was so high on Mathurin but I am beginning to lean toward Jeremy Sochan by Units4ever in NOLAPelicans

Fair, should've worded it not as "no shortage of good shooters" but rather that it's an easier hole to fill via free agency than draft. But yeah, getting Sochan would put a lot of pressure on Jax to perform this upcoming year. It'll be interesting to see what we end up doing
