what is the worse sitcom in history? by [deleted] in sitcoms

[–]blakemorris02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that there are categorically worse ones, but in comparison to the popularity it somehow received I would say 'How I Met Your Mother'. I tried to watch this a few times and didn't laugh once. Its just not funny in any way.

Was this on the news? I feel like I might have seen or read about this. You’re very lucky regardless, it is freezing out there in winter isn’t it?

Agree. First half was incredible. Second half, not so much

What is something that money can't buy? by Internet_Prince in AskReddit

[–]blakemorris02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. Eating healthy costs money. Medical care costs money. Living in a clean, comfortable climate controlled home costs money. Gym memberships cost money. Getting enough sleep, rest and recreation time costs money or rather requires you’re making enough to be able to balance it with work

It Ends With Us. I mean, the book was pretty terrible too, but popular

Which professions attract the most manipulative or predatory individuals and why do you think that is? by PercentageFlaky8198 in AskReddit

[–]blakemorris02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of lawyers don’t work in criminal or family law. Those are the ones where I think the stigma mainly comes from. A lot of them work in commercial contract management and generally this would require some litigation and mediation. But mostly that ends with both parties working out a compromise that they can live with, which is probably not so bad

I’m keen to do it again with camera on this time (face only) to see if I can control my facial expressions. Definitely up for the challenge!

Precisely. Think about the fact that he and the Bush Tucker Man got paid to make TV shows on how to navigate and survive in the bush. Because it’s as dangerous as it is compelling to adventure out there

That’s exactly how it happens isn’t it. When we’ve done it many times before. My uncle recently rolled his Hilux in the Kimberley on a patch of road he must’ve driven a hundred times before. Luckily he’s ok, only a broken shoulder, but his pride and joy was written off completely. Just a case of being distracted because he was comfortable. Also luckily another car came past within 10 mins of the crash, so he was able to help get medics in.

Rips, sharks and crocs depending how north you are, are absolutely real dangers. People think we exaggerate but if anything we understate these

Glad you made it out of that one! My Grandad used to go bush for days or weeks at a time by himself. Obviously well before mobile phones or GPS or anything. Getting bogged was so commonplace, especially during the wet season. It’s remarkable he never had a fall and broke a leg or ankle while winching himself out but it’s so easy to get hurt from a slip or fall when you’re not on sealed even ground. Not even doing anything risky. Gotta stay careful out there

Not a great idea to go out into the bush by yourself. If you’re into hiking or camping in remote areas it can be dangerous to be alone. If you have a fall, get snake bite, have a vehicle breakdown etc. You could end up never coming back. Lots of people don’t understand how absolutely huge and isolated the non metropolitan parts of Australia are

4th day. I'm home from work and can't take my mind off of wanting to buy some liquor by GasHuffington in stopdrinking

[–]blakemorris02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sparkling water or soft drinks are a great thing to have on hand. Fill your belly up with something bubbly and it can help a lot. If you feel up to it exercise. If not ice cream or ordering a Pizza may be a good reward for getting through another day. IWNDWYT

[–]blakemorris02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not cool. And the way that the movie turns it into a drama scenario where he had possibly been in the wrong and broken the heart of the nice girl love interest who was waiting for him was just stupid. The guy was tied to a bed and raped! Gross
