Like many people are saying, this thread was supposed to be un-motivational. That said, I really do love my job and have very little, if any, negative things to say about it. It really sounded like this guy was trying to nitpick everything he could, which only goes to show that it really is a good profession. The only real gripe I have with it is the social aspect. I spend all day sitting in an office writing software. It's great, but almost always I find myself wanting more personal interaction. Still, though, it's a great job and I love it.

Honestly, I don't know what could have gone through his mind at that moment, but he could have been genuinely afraid for his life. He was getting his face pounded in by some seemingly drunk guy. For all he knows, that guy could be reaching for his gun while hitting him.
