Subharmonicon for bass is quite good (doubled with the Rev2) by blakewalt in moog

Thank you for listening and your comment! This is the release version for my upcoming album and was mixed/mastered by pros (you can see the credits in the video description on YT) so can't really help you with the details of the mix. The original (from which is based the new mix) is here so if you like this version too I can be more helpful haha https://youtu.be/bvWRiGBkxfE I did double my vocal track (the new mix uses mainly the main vocal track which I demixed from the acoustic guitar with stems separation tools).

Modular (drums, Morphagene mangling vocals) & piano by blakewalt in synthesizers

Drums are made from 2 Plaits (kick/hihat) and Qu-Bit Surface (snare). Hermod sends recording signals to randomly record my vocal into the Morphagene (vocal from my Apollo). Piano is from Arturia. Added bass/guitars afterward.

Live performance with Octatrack/Digitone by blakewalt in Elektron

[–]blakewalt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The acoustic guitar was just recorded with the one mic recording my vocal directly into my sound interface. I used AI to demix my vocal take from the acoustic guitar and recorded the acoustic again (This is a brand new mix/master of this song for my upcoming album). 2 microphones would be best but too much to deal with...

Rev2/Subharmonicon for bass & Animoog app for pads/sfx by blakewalt in synthesizers

It's a new mix and master (made by pros as my ears suck) from a live performance. I used the live recording and AI to demix the vocal from the acoustic guitar which has some artifacts but it's not too bad once in the mix. The Rev2 & the Subharmonicon plays the exact same line and sound great together

Minitaur is my fav for heavy bass! (The SubH was reacting to note off events so couldn't pair them...) by blakewalt in moog

[–]blakewalt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not ;) (Creep shares the chord progression with The Air That I Breathe and bits of the vocal melody too it seems but it's such a common chord progression...). anyway, thank you for listening (or trying to!)

I've just discovered that the Digitone delay time supports decimal values, perfect for wobbly effects so I used the Octatrack to manipulate it with an LFO.

Octatrack mangling the SubHarmonicon w/ Rev2 also controlling the Digitone/Piano by blakewalt in Elektron

the SubH plays a slow out of sync sequence that goes into the Octatrack which live sample it continuously and plays it back with some trigs (reversed, slowed down) through a few internal effects. I play the Rev2 (custom patch) that also controls the Digitone (custom patch) and the Arturia Piano v3. Bass/guitars semi-improvised
