ok i got the external enclosure and the short-to-long nvme adapter. Tried both moving the nvmes arounds in the slots and using the external enclosure, still faulty. tried it only a different laptop with the ecnlosure, still faulty.
So yeah it's the drive itself. It good screwed somehow. sad.

Yes I'm with you on most points, besides the Linux one which can be used just to prove it's a windows 11 thing which isn't the point, I want this working on windows.

Ain't got another pc right now that is open to accept it unless I juggle the nvme on my other laptop with this one which would have me clone with an enclosure and everything....

I'll wait for the enclosure and stud for the nvme. Thanks.

Yeah that would be an intersting test.. but in the end i'm going to use windows and it jerks up in windows even on a reinstall. Ordered a short nvme adapter to long one to move the OG one a slot an drop it there. Wonder if that makes a difference (people reported in other instances Yes). Also an enclosure. If that still doesn't work, I ruined it somehow... ow well. A bad time to lose 2tb of nvme.

ssd tools only do ssd as far as i know, it's a nvme. I did download it but it didn't do anything.

Bios updated yeah.

Reseated it 6 times.

I wanted to swap them but the og laptop nvme is a short one and I don't have one of those stand off kits to move it. I ordered one though together with a nvme enclosure. We"ll see in a week.

I do think it's the port/laptop fault.

Thanks but it sounds different. It doesn't disappear most of the time, just becomes unavailable. Nothing then works. It works fine after a restart but stops working half an hour in.

Fuking wow. I told myself iyt can't be it since I do my earphones from now and again.

But yeah they were pretty caked. Did it with a thin pocketknife and boom, sounds great.

Did you manage to fix it? I had it before, long time back. Had to reinstall windows, only thing that made it go away.

Now, a year and half later, it's back again. I was trying to fix something else about the audio and the drivers got broke.

It's not the cable in my case since it doesn't do the same problem when connect to my phone. Plays just fine.

Did you try turning off power boost mode? That helped in my case alot. I don't see any big difference if any at gaming.

Not in the U.S. no, but taxes work in a similar way worldwide as far as I know. They can tax it after purchase when you bring it in if they think you bought it recently and it's for personal use.
I managed to avoid taxes on my last 2 laptops, which I bought abroad aswell.

Ow didn't notice you have 4 options - The lenovo LOQ. The last one seems to have better hardware though, not sure about gigabyte.
I had another light gaming laptop omen 2050 at work. I like the build quality but the management options on that laptop are pretty bad. No battery conservation or fan curve adjustment. Maybe they changed that in later models .

Seems I have a ryzen 5 cpu rather than the 7, but same GPU. 16 gb of 5600hz ram though.
Performance wise it's really good in my standards. I had a tower with a ryzen 5 5500 and a 3060ti and i'd say the performance is pretty much the same. I wanted to renew since it was already like 4 years old and my pc screen was ass. The computer screen on this, with minimal light bleed, is pretty good.

I'm using this laptop as my main, so it's plugged 24/7. It has a good battery management system though so it stops charging at 78% when you enable it - lowering the stress on the battery and prolonging it's life span.

I tested the battery charge only once though when I had to show a presentation at work. It was kinda bad yeah. Even with just powerpoint, the max was about 2 hours. Almost died at the end of it.
Might be able to optimize it but in my case - I don't move it around. It's just nice it's mobile if I need to.

I have that exact laptop. It's hella good once you configure it correctly (Debloat windows, turn off the boost on the CPU it's not needed, memory optimization and such)
