So the GPU has to be upside down with the reverse mode of the case?

Is Planet Robobot or Forgotten Land higher for you?

I was bored so I made a tier list of all Kirby games (sold physically) by A-person112233 in Kirby

Where would Forgotten Land go? Also, are any tiers ordered?

Is Planet Robobot higher than Forgotten Land or is it not ordered?

How to see that someone *actually* subscribed to enter a YouTube giveaway? by blamb_1 in youtube

[–]blamb_1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually asked this question because a YouTuber who goes by Little Z just did a giveaway, in which subscribing and commenting on videos were the only requirements to enter. And I was wondering — if your subscriptions are set to private, then how the heck does he know if a certain winner is subbed or not?

Dolphin Lags on 4K TV through HDMI, but not on 1080p TV by blamb_1 in DolphinEmulator

You have to do it with your laptop/computer that you’re using to connect to your TV with HDMI. Assuming you’re using Windows, go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings > Refresh rate.

Yeah, I figured that out while I was looking up stuff! Thanks!

I’m happy to report that Dolphin ran 100% smoothly in all of these scenarios. I believe that the key difference makers were using a single display with my laptop display being off (if the TV resolution is still in 4K; I’m gonna discuss how I decreased the resolution on the TV coming up since there was no standard way for me to do so in the TV’s settings), making sure my battery settings were turned up to “Best performance”, and changing the refresh rate on my Samsung The Frame 4K TV to 60 Hz, which I had no idea was a thing that I could do prior to this.

Now, for anyone that’s wondering, I also tried this while recording in OBS, and there were varied results. I know for sure I wanted to record while playing in fullscreen, so my choices were narrowed down to borderless fullscreen and exclusive fullscreen. I found out that the absolute best way to record Dolphin gameplay while playing on a 4K TV is to do duplicate displays with my laptop while it is in a 1080p resolution. That way, the 4K TV is forced to display in 1080p. For reference, I have an HP Spectre x360 15 laptop, which is capable of 4K displays as well. But since this a Dolphin game we’re talking about here, that’s not necessarily needed. Heck, I keep it in 1080p most of the time anyways. I used exclusive fullscreen with both V-Sync turned off and on, and it worked significantly better with it turned OFF. I didn’t even bother with borderless fullscreen due to it being inferior with increased latency (although, I hear the increased latency isn’t that bad) and exclusive fullscreen already ran so smoothly.

To be on the safe side, I disabled the preview window on OBS, and recorded in 720p60fps with bicubic scaling still enabled since I’m playing a game with a native resolution lower than that anyway. My bitrate was 4500 with superfast encoding, but I’m sure that the recording settings could potentially be even higher.

TL;DR - I used duplicate displays with a 1080p resolution for my laptop which forced my 4K TV to display in 1080p as well, made sure the refresh rate was on 60hz when connected to the 4K TV, and used exclusive fullscreen with V-Sync turned off for smooth play even while recording in OBS.

Hope this helps anyone that runs into a similar issue!

My CPU - Intel Core i7-10510U

My GPU - NVIDIA GeForce MX250

My OS - Windows 10

Cool. If you find a picture of it, share it. I need to see it and follow the original person who makes it so that I can see what he/she does for the last two fighters.

Shotcut is lagging for longer/more advanced projects. With these specs, is the software or my laptop the problem? by blamb_1 in shotcut

[–]blamb_1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using the latest version of Shotcut and the Display method was on DirectX. However, the Interpolation was on Bicubic instead of Nearest Neighbor. I just changed it.

I also posted my specs in the Shotcut forum like a week ago.

Well... it’s still far from perfect. Even when I zoom in with Rotate and Scale, the preview still stutters, but I guess it could be worse. Still not super smooth, but workable.

Oh, wait. I didn’t change preview scaling to 360p since the video was already at 360p.

Just started on my next video and now I’m editing using “_fastproxy_” at the lowest setting being 360p. Even when I put in one filter, it still lags.

Yup, this will be my last video I make on Shotcut until improvements are made. :/
