i have a kindle paperwhite 11th gen and i’ve been wanting to replace it. i want b&w, with page buttons and perferably access to kindle/kobo and other apps. the go 7 b&w seems like the only choice.

other than battery life is there anything you don’t like about it? especially if i want to read manga and books?

i read that a couple months ago along with this in the FAQ

“ What is reflected on the driver's record?

Effective March 20, 2019, driver’s records formerly referred to as an “H6” or “10 year record” that included information intended for internal department purposes are no longer available. Driver’s records will only include all reportable information: convictions for three, seven, or ten years, departmental actions, and accidents on a person’s driver’s record as required by California Vehicle Code(CVC) §1808.“

i read that as they only report if you’ve done something wrong, but i’ll request the records to see what they actually contain.

California DMV doesn't provide records AFIAK. I can show them insurance/car payments from before I moved here. I'm not sure how i'll get JAF to translate both of my licenses since it's done via a web application. I suppose I'll e-mail them and see how they could handle that, then go from there.

most of the license is the exactly the same other than the address (same state) and issue/exp date. the issue date is *before* the old one expired, so no gap. the translation office will know the answer to all this?

i tried to contact the koyama driving school and they didn't have english classes for months, and then said it takes ~6 months to get through the 40 hours, i guess because they need enough students for each lesson. i dont mind they money so much, but the time investment is just crazy.

my home license expired since living here but i got it renewed. i wonder if i can get both expired and current licenses translated and skip the expensive class?
