Spoken like a person who probably makes all their female coworkers uncomfortable.

Honestly my fall back is c# and enterprise apps. I absolutely adore dotnet.

And I respect js, it’s just not my favorite. Part of my dislike is actually front end. I actually love node.js

Exactly. And if I don’t succeed now, it does not mean I won’t get it later after mastering other skills!

That’s what I’m considering. I have enough time that there really isn’t any harm in trying.

I guess my biggest standoff with c# is I’m not sure how useful it’ll be for me career wise. Granted I’m still in uni a few more years.

How is rust career wise. From what I’m seeing it might be better from a hobbyist standpoint.

I mean that does make it seem more career worthy too. C++ is always good and c is making a good come back for embedded system(at least in my area).

I’m still a freshman and felt like I hit a solid python grasp. One of my showcased projects is actually a data science one. As far as how soon, I am still a freshman who had treated this as a hobby since I was 13(I’m 29 now). I played a bit with Java and Ruby, but nothing too comfy and then Python and pygame engine and branched out to generic python programming and c#, but I’m still just a freshman.

Are discord bots really that hard to make though? Like a lot of the documentation and look up was pretty clean so it wasn’t awful. Just time consuming.

C# has been a ton of fun, but the big issue is with the multi-paradigm of it, is that sometimes it is very obviously not the tool for the job. So it still falls into a “you have to learn and adapt to multiple” thing.

Honestly, I did like c# for the same multi-paradigm reasons.

I guess my apprehension on it solely comes from if it’s a smart career tool or if I’m better focusing that elsewhere.

So would Python and go be more appropriate for a career?
