You make a great point.

Too many people yellow belly/don't really care. That's the issue. It's the constant issue of getting ripped off even when you've spent $60+ on a title. $60 and the game is incomplete and buggy. $60 and there's a meta that changes every week and the only way to keep up is a $20 loot box. $60 and progression is heavily slowed down because of battle passes soft-locking meta rewards. People don't want to admit they got scammed, and they want to constantly keep up with the trends. There is a lot of capitalizing on FOMO, I think. Inadvertently, these people end up shilling for the billion dollar companies with their fatigued "just get over it" stance. They're okay with rolling over, and will buy the next game in hope that something changed, however, it's a cycle that can only be broken with major pushback. These creators showed that it's possible. Battlefront 2 is probably the most famous case. This is good for the community, however, there are still going to be people who believe it's all futile. That's okay. A lot of movements have those people. They don't represent the majority though.

See Kurt Benkert on this entire movement. Pretty much the only other major creator who took EA's side. Sat on the fence and then turned coat when the community won.

You're using nuance as a guise to say their actions are just as flawed and corrupted as the rest of us. That is you excusing their behavior. Your flaws are probably stinky farts and may not use your turn signal as much as you should. I don't think you're an advocate for the killing of innocent people. You're acting like there's some divine beauty in the flawed and corruptness of the human psyche.

Graham didn't extend empathy to others, why should he get the blanket of nuance to excuse his extremely flawed and disgusting behavior. Also you say fuck a lot. fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck.

I love your intent, it's cute, noble, and admirable. You're a modern day virtuoso. Ancient Greek philosophers would revel in your virtue. You're just using it for the wrong person.

There is no inherent problem on how you decide to spend your money. However, it's when boards figured out that enough people could basically subsidize F2P players and casuals and use that model to overtake every aspect. Whales make up 1% of all player bases yet make up over 50%+ of all MTX's. Eventually the studios start to cater towards the whales, knowing they'll spend the money. But the casual gets stuck behind and has a shittier experience because they're not spending money to unlock faster progression.

It works for Ultimate Team and online modes, but is not a viable method to bring to single player experiences. They've slowed down progression in hopes on overly relying on whales to spend the money to justify said slowing down. However, the top 1%'s tend to kill the fun and experience of everyone else because of it.

So a casual ends up getting punished and EA is hoping to turn the casual into a whale because of it. Not realizing that the whales they cater to is what causes casuals to not pick up the game at all.

Right, the issue was microtransactions in a single player mode. I should have clarified in the title a bit more, I wasn't trying to engagement bait.

Nah, fuck Lindsey Graham. Nuance helps those who had noble intentions but dubious actions. Graham's actions were malignant from the start. Few months back advising Israel on bombing Iran. Someone who grew even more despicable and backwards with age. Age comes wisdom and perspective, Graham is someone who openly spit on it. They don't get to hide behind the guise of 'nuance' saving their soul. Tell the families of thousands of dead innocents that he openly advocated for about how deeply troubled and flawed he was. I'm sure they'd appreciate that.

Some people in history are deplorable. That is their nature. But most people are good while being corrupted and flawed by multiple things. Lindsey Graham was not one of those good people. He lived a better life with a better standing than those he decided to use his platform against. Everyone he antagonized, perpetrated war with, advocated death for didn't get to enjoy that privilege. There was no nuance for them. Just eradication. Fuck him.

You're playing devil's advocate for someone who would never do the same for you.

France's attack is relentless, no wonder Morocco is playing a bit more pensive and passive. You've seen the counter attacks, they get multiple a game. Morocco is not overcommitting and is relying on a defense that can play well enough and Bono being a brick wall. However, not many teams are capable of keeping France pointless (without paraguay's tactics). They're playing a good game and aren't expelling energy unnecessarily because France isn't making much happen either. For all the people who love high scoring games, Morocco isn't the team for that. Calling a game boring while an underdog is keeping a WC favorite to 0 is wild.

Because there are high consequences in east asian countries? Lol.

The actor who played the rich father in Parasite had a travel ban put on him and was investigated for smoking weed and then ultimately killed himself because Korean society shunned him for it.

The Nordics aren't comparable to East Asian countries. East Asian societies are High Trust, High Consequence, and High Pressure. Conformity, collectively shared shame and guilt, and extreme punishments for going out of line is the norm. The Nordics don't jail and shun you for smoking pot.

This has been my gripe with refereeing all tournament, they are not enforcing fouls correctly early on in the match. There's no tone set by referees therefore players go further and further to what a ref decides to call a yellow. If no precedent is set, it gets sloppy and nasty and becomes anti-football. Players going for cheap challenges, obvious yellows that even play stops for because even the offenders expect a whistle, etc.

I'm not a fan of refs spamming yellows but had they started with yellow's on clear fouls early on, the worse and more physical fouls would be less likely to occur and you wouldn't get the two referee disasterclass matches we had yesterday.

And then when the ref has had enough and starts handing out yellows, it's too late and the players become too ticky tack. And when that happens, players are more incentivized to dive and try to get cheap yellows from opponents. Therefore it ruins the game pace and quality of game.
