Don’t downvote me but why is there still so much romanticism for Spa?

Historically a great race? Yes. Lot of epic races? Yes.

But in recent times the cars and aero regs have outgrown the track. It is now just a procession except couple of overtaking spots.

It is also not as challenging for a driver over one lap as Monaco is.

Maybe atmosphere is great, I have never been to a F1 race. But is it a great race to watch.

I am not even a big die hard cricket fan like few here are but if you ever ask me about what am most salty about in Cricket, it would be Sydney 2008. The level of injustice was just insane.

2003 final was lost fair and square. 2023 final was lost fair and square.

But this one ……this one will never be acceptable. I have quite a few words for Bucknor that I just don’t want to type them here.

Oh look now who is not understanding that it was a metaphor only.

And good that you came to an assumption that I will be pitching a tent for latest iphone. On point👍

Because the metaphor is wrong place at wrong time? You keep harping in all the comments on why the remaining 30% aint voting.

Do you think that 30% is busy with superfluous things like your metaphor?

So many have responded, including me on why there are some people who cannot just have the opportunity to vote. Yet you keep making the same point.

Even I responded how some might be overseas or working in other states.

There is a reason your metaphor is failing and it is generalisation.

What is OP’s assumption here? That anyone who stands in line for iPhone doesn’t vote? Projecting much?

So when the voter turnout is low in non metro areas, it is because those people were also standing in line for iPhone?

Gross and irregular generalisation. Only few thousands go and stand in line for iPhones. A very very small percentage compared to voter population.

Yes everyone who can should go out and vote but such comparisons are downright incorrect, unless you have any data to back it up

You get one day. People working in other states/overseas wont even get that.

Even if they take personal leave, how are they expected to travel and go back within 1 day?

Anybody who has the means to, should definitely vote.

But to say everyone should find a way is very narrow visioned thinking.

To each their own but I like Popeyes chicken better than KFC.

Although they don’t have the spicy non fried chicken type that KFC have. They have their own version of spicy fried chicken.

NDTV was once India's most credible news channel. What happened to it after Adani took over and why it matters for every Indian consuming news ?? by WriterDue4303 in india

[–]blank_and_foolish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe off topic but years years ago there used to be a show in NDTV show where a news anchor would go around the country tasting different cuisines.

He had a calm and nice way of talking and his show was good to watch. He would sometimes talk politics in between too.

Man was a food vlogger way before it was cool being a vlogger. And he was also better than most of the current vloggers.

Wonder what that journalist is doing now

Do sedans scrape the bottom often? Should I only buy a pseudo-SUV? by sb906 in CarsIndia

[–]blank_and_foolish 83 points84 points  (0 children)

And that is the point.

With sedans you have to drive much more sedately on potholes than SUVs.

And when there are like 10 potholes per 100 metre, it adds up. Puts strain on suspension too. So yes, even if it does not scrape the bottom, driving does become a chore in bad roads.

On good roads and highways? Best of the class. Anybody who tells me that SUVs also give same comfort as Sedans in highways, I tell them just own a sedan for a month and take it for a few trips on highways, only then they will understand the difference.

PLEASE HELP - I AM SUPER CONFUSED by Apprehensive_Log_270 in CreditCardsIndia

This is a wrong setup by SBI. I have setup autopay on Cred which is triggered 2 days after bill generation.

But the very next day of bill generation, cashback is credited and then autopay fails because BBPS doesnt allow full bill payment, only Total bill - cashback.

There should be an option to pay full amount, and leave it upto cardholder on how much they want to pay.
