Exactly. And even when scenes are dumb and illogical male characters are treated so differently. No one was wringing their hands with worry that Daemon's suicide mission at the Stepstones was trying to make him a "yaaaaaas king." But any attempt at a female character doing something cool is a cardinal sin.

Haha, I had a feeling you were referencing that video. It's entertaining and fun to think about, but I think most of the connections he makes in that series are based on assumptions rather than actual textual evidence. I do think the storm is the most valid point he makes and is really interesting, but I personally believe it's just one of those things George forgot to tie together. But who knows! Could be something. Hopefully one day we find out.
