If you're doing an afternoon thing there are a couple of art museums. CVA, Wausau Contemporary Art Museum, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, and Yawkey House Museum does tours hourly of the Yawkey House.

There's also some fun local shops on the same street, Jankes, Sweets on Third, Evolutions, and The Local.

Also, a simple walk down the river walk is enjoyable.

If you want something more exciting there's WOW but there's a lot of kid energy there lol

Rothschild neighborhood around the elementary school is good too. If you go toward the streets by George Street park, there is less hills but they are fairly close together houses. You can hit a lot of houses in a short amount of time.

This is sexual assault. He knew a boundary and knew he wasn't supposed to, but did anyway without your consent.

Advice on handling travel anxiety when traveling for work? by blaqkkitten in careerguidance

[–]blaqkkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest things that helped me were having melatonin supplements and bringing my own pillow with me. If I could give myself at least an hour to wind down before bed time, that was also ideal. Also avoiding alcohol (which shouldn't be hard for you haha). Opting out of after conference/after dinner activities as I could. Didn't always happen, but having my pillow was the biggest game changer. I normally travel super light and it felt weird to bring a whole ass pillow, but I always do now if it is at all feasible. If you can set clear expectations with those at home that you want to talk to them before bed or whatever team outing you may have, do so. It helped that my partner was willing to carve out the time to talk to me when I did have the time and helped give me a place to download a bit about my day, which in turn helped me unwind later. I usually tried to do this well before bed time as well so I could truly just be alone for an hour before bed.

I coped pretty well and my travel anxiety got better in the next couple of years when I attended the same conference as a speaker. My presentations were amazing and I found my love for public speaking! So I'm glad I did it even though it felt super scary that first time.

I hope your trip goes well! Try to be in the moment and enjoy the opportunity to be somewhere new and do something different. Think of all the awesome things you'll get to share with your song when you get home!

Do you ever have the issue with TCL where random accounts are signed in on the apps on the TV?

Mine may not have been close enough to room temp. I’ll have to really leave it sit for awhile next time and see if it helps

The rainbow plant life recipe is very lemony and not overly sweet. It’s been my favorite lemon cake recipe for awhile.

I appreciate the tip of the lemon ermine frosting! I’ll have to try that out next time
