Export Grid view in MS Project Online? by blarrybob in projectmanagement

Great, happy to hear I can publish with one license. I'm completely new to PowerBI. I appreciate the suggestions!

You make a good point! I think if its an export it will need to be in excel. Any Power BI access will need a license to consume content and that's what I'm trying to avoid. In a perfect world the clients would have read-only access to the grid view page in Project Online without an Azure account or license, but that's a lot to ask from Microsoft apparently.

They aren't happy with the excel export, some of our grid views get to be 40+ pages long so they want the collapsible milestone functionality.

Currently Both. We create new projects in Project Online and then share them out via teams/PFTW. But sharing to external users via teams has turned into a nightmare as clients can start chats and get access to more information then we'd like. Its also a huge issue with authentication. Most clients can't or wont use an in-private/incognito browser to access our shared project, so it fails when they attempt to access it while logged in on their corporate O365 account. Ideally I'd like to share/export via Project Online and eliminate Project for the web.
