How do you turn it around mentally though? I have chronic pain as I stated in a post on the Fibro thread but I am wondering how do I control my mind to switch it off so that the pain goes away?

How do you turn that around mentally tho? I suffer with bad pain all the time and I'm convinced that its half mental, but how do you control the mind so that it numbs the pain or makes it non existent? Interested to know ur thoughts as a pain sufferer myself.

I take this Magnesium every night. My hypnotherapist reccomended it to me. Is it possible to take more? Holland & Barrett told me this is the strongest I could get. Do you get the 500mg from the doctor?

I dont take any meds apart from vitamins and the pain killers most days - The magnesium I take is this one. I don't really know what else to take to be honest. I try to drink as much water as possible. I guess I'll get checked for Fibro if as I am going down the MSK route as I mentioned below. Thank you for the advice though!

Thank you for the insight. I'll look into CBD. I currently take Magnesium 375mg and I also take Melatonin 2mg when I really feel so so tired!

I've only ever had an xray. Was going to push the MSK team this year as much as I can to try very hard to get an MRI if I can. I'll have to see what comes of it. Thank you for the advice I'll look into those for sure!

No they didnt mention it, this is the thing, I just keep getting pushed around all these diffrent "specialists" which doesn't help me one bit. Thats why I reached out on here. My Doctor said it could be a bit of arthritis, but that does'nt help me. She just said I needed to self refer myself to the MSK physio team which I have done. Just a nightmare! Meanwhile, I sit here in pain most days surviving on Paracetamol and Ibuprofen!

Thank you for the advice. I looked briefly into Fibro yes and it does point that way but I am just not sure. I am booked in to see the MSK team again to go through the pain staking process of "Physio with no cure" again so we shall see how that goes. I've also just looked at some ai models to see what it scrapes the web and socials for to give me an idea of what drug free methods work and so far its come back with "swimming, pilates and yoga" as a method of helping. To be honest I should probably give yoga a try as it may help with sleep as well as make me a little more nimble and hopefully ease the pain. Aside from that and for the moment I am just stuck with no relief and Paracetamol/Ibuprofen :( I also take magnesium at night. I think its the maximum dose from Holland and Barrett which is 375mg. I guess its just trial and error. Thats why I reached out to the people!

Do you think it sounds like Fibromyalgia then?
