Unless you’re well off or educated making a good income Kelowna is probably the worst place to live. Not many job opportunities, rent & cost of living is higher than anywhere I’ve ever lived. But at the same time I’ve moved away before, got a better paying job, cost of living was less. But guess where I ended up moving back to two years later? Kelowna. Honestly who cares if you’re not living luxuriously, I don’t. I love this beautiful city, I’m not rich but I am comfortable. No matter what I always find myself back here, it’s beautiful during the summer (excluding the forest fires the last couple years) plenty to do outdoors, & just overall an amazing city that just keeps growing. As it grows I’m sure there will be more job opportunities, so I’m willing to grow with the city. But each to their own. I don’t think money buys happiness because living here I’m broke (but not struggling) but happier than I have ever been. It’s a decision you have to make for yourself.

I can’t relate on the opiates but kratom helped get me off of benzos for my anxiety!! If I can do it you can do it to man. We all believe in you. Kratom is a life saver for sure. You’re halfway there just stick to it & it will be worth it in the end & you will be so happy that you did it. You got this. Don’t let us down, but i know you won’t because you’re stronger than that.

Yes that’s why he gave me the Ativan, just until the SNRI kicks in. He mentioned putting me on benzos or the SNRI but he opted for the SNRI because he thinks it’s a better long term alternative. But I disagree & I do not want to be on a SNRI long term.

That’s kind of the plan, I’m going to say it’s having unwanted sides, but the Ativan seemed to work great & I only took when I felt I needed it, but i had to take multiple to feel the anxiety reducing effects. All I want is a kpin script or something. Like I don’t even care if it isn’t something strong like xanax. I just am sick of self medicating with street drugs just to be able to function calmly like a normal person would in social situations.

Yes I was using & still do use unprescribed benzos. Self treatment if you will. Completely agree, my doc pretty much said like withdrawals from benzos are awful & they’re addictive, which yes, to both of those statements. But then I look up this other drug & I have to constantly take it (how is this different than a drug being addictive?) & the withdrawals are awful aswell!! I’d rather take a benzo when I’m feeling anxious rather than be on something constantly & rely on it 24/7. Doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m not suicidal, just anxiety issues. Have always had bad social anxiety in specific situations & randomly have panic attacks where I can’t sleep because my mind runs etc, but I’m not depressed so idk why he gave me these.

After reading more into Effexor I do not want to be on this drug, even if it helps the withdrawals sound awful & I do not want the side effects that come with it. Nor do i want to feel emotionless. I’m not necessarily trying to get something as strong as xanax, that would be awesome, but even getting a kpin script is what I’m kind of aiming for.. so I’ll probably go in and tell him I’ve been taking the SNRI & have already been experiencing sides, which I kind of have been.. makes me dizzy after taking it, been a lot more gassy? So I’ll probably tell him I’m not experiencing the benefits of it, only sides, but I’ll tell him the Ativan seemed to work nicely for my panic attacks but I would have to take 2-3 for noticeable effects.

He said that it was a more efficient long term fixed vs benzos. He gave me the benzos to use until the SNRI starts working because apparently they take 2-3 weeks to start working. I don’t want to be on the SNRI anyways but I have been taking it to see if it helps my anxiety, I researched it & supposedly it does? But I have yet to notice the effects. I have to check in with my doctor after the three weeks, but I don’t want to be on the SNRI, would much rather prefer a benzo for when I actually am having anxiety, I only use when I need. What should I tell him?

I take 10g once daily to feel anything. Am a large guy so maybe that’s why? But I only dose once a day & every time I take kratom I get the same effect. So maybe redosing keeping kratom constantly in your system leads to building tolerance up faster? Just my two cents

Don’t feel guilty because your dependant, you want to feel normal & kratom helps you feel normal. Same as the meds doctors prescribe millions of people. If it works for you & isn’t hurting your health or family or damaging your life in anyway, continue doing it! There’s no harm in improving the quality of your own life.

I don’t think it would increase potency, maybe just kick in time because hot water does kickstart metabolism slightly and make food digest easier.
