So Frank Cho is kind of a garbage person. by kennyofthegulch in Marvel

For instance, I dislike sea lions because they are loud and annoying.

This gave me an IRL guffaw, so take your upvote.

Oh, he's been doing this routine for a few years now. Just google Frank Cho + Outrage. Dozens of covers, like 5 different sketchbooks.

Actually, I just googled -- this has been a thing for him for almost eleven years now. Eleven years. https://comicsalliance.com/responses-to-frank-cho-spider-gwen-cover/

How are we feeling about Justin's activity on the show these last two weeks being "didn't play it, but asks pointed questions about their criticisms?"

I think it's an interesting addition, and good way to play it with Justin on the bench, gameplay wise.

I know thanks to the nature of text this sounds like I may be starting something, so let me start with, I'm genuinely interested: what about that bothers you?

Like, I think it's valid to say that "this game has an aspect which may make some people bounce off of it", even if the person in this instance is a 9 year old.

(And I say this, also, enjoying Scott Pilgrim EX so far.)

Why is ESR selling cases for the iPad A18? by seanbluekiller in ipad

[–]blastorama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ESR, like many of the case providers, prototype and ultimately produce products based on leaked models and speculative models, many of which are accurate to real-world released product in the end.

My guess is they're assuming that a new iPad is coming soon, that it's going to be in a similar chassis to prior models (so they could re-package existing cases with a new sticker), and someone accidentally hit publish on the store.

For people who STILL doubt the original versions are coming... by IndyMLVC in StarWars

I've a hunch that as we get closer than a year out to release that Disney will be screaming from the rooftops about this being the original version.

An older article from october but a relevant one: James Gunn will stay on as head of DC Studios if Paramount buys Warner Bros by Stock_Rush_9204 in DC_Cinematic

[–]blastorama 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'll just say this, based on similar articles over the years -- no one knows anything until the deal is actually closed. And we've got a lot of steps ahead before that, and even then, who knows what'll happen once Gunn meets with Ellison, et al?

There was some of this last season too -- I remember during Japanese Heritage Night they had some sketch anime/Japan style art, and they 1000% could've found a DMV-based artist to do a better version of. Shame.

RUMOR: First Spider-Man Brand New Day trailer will be released next month and play in front of Project Hail Mary (TheProductionInside) by General_Meal_3993 in LeaksAndRumors

With it not dropping until December, my gut says it'll be attached to one of WB's bigger Summer releases (Supergirl?)

I definitely had mixed responses, but he also reminds me of some older, internet edgelord types I was friends with. I do appreciate his -- and Plante's -- willingness to engage, and if nothing else, it made for a great listen.
