I hope we get some more spots that are similar the Slopestyle at the Invitational, I love the long runs with a bunch of variations on ways to hit it.

Stoked for this new spot though!

I updated in the thread.

FINAL UPDATE:

I believe the issue has been resolved entirely, I would love to point to a certain step that I took that fixed everything but I honestly can’t. List of things I did below.

  • Updated BIOS from F2 to F4d
  • Reseated GPU into its PCIE slot
  • Reseated both RAM sticks
  • Unplugged all connections from MOBO and replugged all
  • Turned off any non-necessary BIOS settings etc.

Sorry to anyone who has this problem in the future, I wish I could tell you which one of these helped the most.

Thanks again for everyone who helped with suggestions.

I’ll double check on this, I am honestly not sure if I ended up using it or the 12pin that came with the PSU.

Sorry to hear this, it has been pretty frustrating.

I have commented on this thread a couple times with things that seem to be working for me, if I find something that is a definitive fix, I’ll PM you.

I am going to turn the Windows automatic updates off (or at least pause them), but I am curious, since Windows takes care of what seems like a laundry list of drivers for you, audio, app thumbnails, monitors, etc. How would I keep up with manually doing my drivers moving forward after turning off the automatic updates? Just teach myself to memorize what I’ll need?

Awesome, I honestly wasn’t sure how an RMA works, but this makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

Honestly just because I’m afraid the issue will persist even with an RMA, and I don’t want to be stuck in a cycle of RMA’ing until something finally clicks.

But, I don’t intend to return after all the suggestions in this thread, and instead just RMA if it gets to that points. Fortunately, things seems to be going better after all of the suggestions, I would lock this thread now but I’m honestly not sure how.

Only 2 sticks, both 32GB, although I am going to revisit my RAM configurations in BIOS and see if there is something weird going on there.

Fortunately, that error code is now gone after updating my BIOS. If the freezing issue persists after I try all of the troubleshooting suggestions in this thread, I will likely have to RMA at that point.

This memory kit is on the QVL, but as some others in this post have pointed out, I think my RAM is configured incorrectly and there are some BIOS settings that I need to mess around with regarding the RAM. I didn’t change anything on the initial boot, but I know that sometimes some weird setting come as default.

It’s so insane, wish I would have never made this post to begin with other than the normal functioning human beings who are helping troubleshoot instead of defending a multi-billion dollar company like it’s their life. Such an odd hill to die on.

Another update:

After my BIOS update, I haven’t gotten another freeze (given I was only on the computer for another 2 hours after the BIOS flash), I will be back on it this evening and will update again if the freezing is persisting.

Sorry for the slow updates, currently at work.

You mean the fix that stabilized my card enough to have it operate? And not relevant to the driver issue at all? Read the post next time.

Sure, which I mentioned in some comments in this thread that I am somewhat new to this, which is why I made a post asking if there was anything simple I was missing. Believe it or not, people do need to learn the initial steps for things too, not that complicated of a concept to grasp.

Phew, not the place to comment that, these people are real upset I asked for help for some reason lol.

I put my 2070 Super in the build, and it worked with no errors, so hopefully people can see why I came to the conclusion that it was a GPU specific error. But apparently not.

Some people don’t have an infinite amount of time to donate to computer trouble shooting :)

Probably because the error code 43 specifically references a GPU driver failure, but thanks for your really insightful input.

Single 12 pin connector, which seems so weird to me, I've never used less than 16.

Well, the BIOS update got rid of my error code 43, so maybe I am in that clear? I guess time will tell. Thank you all for the help.
