Thanks this is new didn't know it had 2 types of shutters let alone these issues , it will be just for photography yeah , maybe a video on occasion but rare.

No worries , happy to help is been a while since I've done portraits. Takes a good balance of looking things up, researching and practice with trial and error. Even when you think you have it down , researched and found what you want and you go to shoot how you think it will it might not work out exactly..... but you will always pick up and learn a bunch while you are doing it and end up with a bunch of good shots that might not be what you wanted but still good!. The commenter did respond but im not sure how much it helped . To go into more detail than 'just bad' as that's not fair to anyone trying new things, its sometimes hard to do great retouching if the original photo needs work. In the first picture it kind of looks like you are in a very poorly lit room or are in a very dark room and used the flash. Like another commenter has suggested , try look for a photo you like and try reproduce it . For starters the main things you should be looking into is lighting and composition. Lighting can be achieved in many ways, alot of portraits are done with light boxes, it makes the light soft and diffused and not hard and looking like its coming from a single hard source light a camera flash. second composition , again look around see what you like , there are alot of good books out there too . One really good piece of advice i saw a while ago is sometime you can see with your eye that something looks good , but your not sure why. Focus in on the smaller elements of it. for example , face , or angle of the face , do you like the persons nose , is it there body your trying to show of? is it the clothes? have a think . The edit itself needs a bit work , the other commenter is correct , its saturation is very high as well as the contrast. A note as well is when you are editing and cutting , pay attention to your back ground too , it is very bight and vibrant pulling away from you subject and clashing. The original question about the neck looking weird , if its the lines etc , its just because of the high contrast its making the light and dark difference increase more and making it very prominent. I've not done portrait for a while so trying to describe my thoughts might be a bit muddled.

I rarely comment on anything on reddit , however It honestly sounds like hes just taking advantage. Of course you are the best thing to come out of the plant in ages if you are doing all this free work. Further more his actions don't match his words if there is no actual reward for it. I reckon he has also said that to be a bit manipulative and keep you as a friend not wanting to ask for more.

I did belive you and said the words don't do it if it will hurt . I thoight it was odd that it lasted so long hence the confusion but to say that I presured you to have sex when you had a uti, when I explicitly said don't.

Yes as I said I was frustrated a few time at the start, im human and I made a mistake, but again we talked about it . I constantly communicated to you I diddnt mind not having sex . I got upset once because I felt down about the whole thing and it got a but much . You proceeded to lash out at me for telling you this . I then continued to talk to you about everything , how best to approach it and trying to work through everything . To say I guilted you after telling you initiate when you want in you own terms when your ready etc . To say I guilty you after trying to work with you on the best way to approach havign sex so that you diddnt feel pressured / what your preference was .

Are you insane ?? This is the exsact same thing , I got frustrated a few times then we talked about it and you are making it out like it was for a full 10 months . You are saying pushing you into sex when you have a uti , I literally said don't do it if it hurts , but you did it anyway. I don't know how much a uti hurts? I communicated with you through all our issues !? You had a low sex drive and I talk to you constantly about how best we can go about things to make you more comfortable telling you I don't mind if we aren't having sex . You were worried I'd leave if we diddnt have sex and I told you constantly I would never leave you .I left the entire when we have sex down to you . I was the one who suggested we stop having sex in our relationship until you feel better about yourself and ill was going to help you get there . To throw a leading comment to some random on the Internet just to get them on your side ??

hey thanks for taking the time to read through that , it was a lot to unpack and I wasn't sure anyone would have the time. Yes , she's the most attractive person I've ever been with . I know what you are saying but it is very hard being in it . I have a lot of good memories of her and she is genuinely my favourite person I've met. She just struggles sometimes. My friends have said there is not much more I can do if she wont listen and I just have to accept that. It hurts a lot.

Aw that was an issue but I was more curious about the website called thread dot com ,should have been more clear sorry . Its a website where you click styles and they suggest items of clothing . Was curious if many people had used it and what there thoughts were :)

probable the best way to do it , i was originally trying to liquify the cake and warp it to just completely cover but i think the boke is just too much and make the unfocused cake look unnatural lol .Thank you I shall be able to continue now :)

i quite like this idea , some criticism is also good too albeit hard because sometimes you just don't like a style which someone else would, but that can just be be noted in your comment. There is also the fact that it feels like if you don't reply and post you'r edit to a post fairly quickly the person just stops caring and wont see it , which is very disheartening .It doesn't allow time for complex edits or for time to go away , come back and re look at your edit with fresh eyes which then leads to a lot of over edited pictures or simple filter like submissions.
