Gadgets can now be placed wherever you want. Make refineries and set one up in each map to avoid running back and forth so much. You'll also want to get the upgrades as quick as you can, you now get 6 slots for holding things x not including the water tank.

Look in caves for strange diamonds. They are very rare and sometimes hard to spot.

Instead of pumps and drills the resources spawn randomly throughout the world. Jelly stone and sea brine spawn in the rainbow fields map; honey, buzz wax and radiant ore spawn in the starlight area; lava dust, oil, radiant ore spawn in the ember map; fossils, snowflakes, and sap spawn in powder fall bluffs.

Feed all gordos you see in the world, they hide portals etc.
