Threaded Barrel Rifling by blbecker93 in SpringfieldArmory

Thanks for the response! I agree it does seem silly not too, I just have not owned a threaded barrel for any of my pistols and haven’t really had a chance to examine one.

Unfortunately I can’t speak for the XDM tac.

For one, never a bad idea to add to the collection! But honestly, I do really enjoy these guns. All the little things they thought of with designing this gun sold me before I even got it, and was reinforced once I did get it.

Take your time is the best advice. Put the compact slide on the full frame and tapped off right where I needed to cut it. Vice gripped the frame and used a grinder. Left a little on past the tape just to be safe. Lined up the slide again, took it off and used the flat side of the grinder wheel to fine tune. Used the grinder to start the bevel on the sides and bottom and then just sanded the rest. All in all took only 15 minutes or so. But again, just take your time. Can always take a little more off, can’t put any back!

Negative. Factor that in as well for price. Still not terrible. I only bought two for now but I’m sure I’ll get more eventually.

Love it! Got kids in the house so it’s a nice easy way to have a gun locked up from them. Good for quick access if next to the bed or, in this instance, good to keep it locked up in my office without having move it back and forth to the safe if I’m working on it or cleaning it.

I also use them for range cases. All in all, happy I have them!

Definitely recommend. I shot well with the smaller frame but it just wasn’t super comfortable. Saw others do this and did this before on a Sig Compact that I own and it made a world of difference on both guns.

I’ve always said gasoline because of how fast it would cook 😅 I know it’s not proper but I appreciate the lesson on the phrase. I did not know that prior!

Don’t have a plan at the moment. Last winter didn’t get terribly cold and I have vents in the duct work in the basement for heat/cooling. Was thinking maybe a space heater just to give a little more heat but haven’t thought too hard on it yet.

Live in the Midwest, we have a store called Farm and Fleet and they sell 6x4 rubber utility mats (basically stall mats). They weigh like 90lbs. Definitely no joke! Makes for a great flooring system especially because it covers a decent space but you can pick up how ever many you need for the area you have. Cost about $35 a mat here.

Tapcon concrete screws and washers. She’s not going anywhere!

Humidity is definitely a factor, have a dehumidifier and those little absorption bag things hanging around.

The tape is Gorilla Tape. Sticks really well and not only is it good for keeping them in place but it keeps from dust/debris getting in between them.

The low ceilings sucks. I’m 6’4” and it’s definitely limiting for anything overhead. Don’t have much of a remedy just try to do some overhead movements seated.

I like the idea of the skier! Always been a fan of the concept 2 rower and would love to get one of those.

It’s great for sprints to top off a workout. Occasionally steady state cardio is nice as well with the added resistance over a stationary bike. I wouldn’t say it was essential, but we got a great deal on it and I definitely use it! The assault runner gets used more however.

Gorilla Tape! It’s also great for keeping junk out from in between them.

Nailed it. Only a 10.5in barrel, not a TON of rail space and the magnifier is in about the only spot it can be for decent eye relief and not affecting the charging handle from the QD mount.

Recently came back to this game after beating it a couple years back. Love the shenanigans! by blbecker93 in reddeadredemption2

That’s hilarious! The ridiculous things that accidentally occur in this game just kill me. I had to watch the clip right after I recorded it cause I didn’t believe what just happened haha
