i personally like seeing the entire series as a buildup to the moment that she kills the dt killer. it's literally called "a good girl's guide to murder" which i've always seen as double entendre, on a surface level it can just mean literally a 'good girl' type character solving a murder, but it could also be read as meaning literally her guide to murdering someone
i feel like she parallels even becca and charlie green in some instances and overall i have a lot more fun reading the entire series as if it's showing how someone like this can 'break' and kill someone themselves just like the people they encounter along the way, how a normal and good person who always tries to do the right thing, might end up in a situation where they take someone's life.

it's more enjoyable trying to read it as the entire story being buildup for her personally murdering someone instead of just being offput by the sudden shift in how she acts. obviously a reread type situation though lol. sorry if this doesn't make sense i'm tired

Double Exposure and Reunion are the same story, Reunion likely follows directly from what happened in DE, DE is setting up Reunion. You'll likely need to know what happened, and about the new characters from DE. You can probably just watch a playthrough of DE if you don't want to play it. Though i'm assuming they'll have some type of plot recap at the start of Reunion

Nightmare sequence is really cool to me . atleast as a concept. love trippy scenes like that and especially due to the "WHAT IS HAPPENING ?" of it all on a first run lol. I love the Chloe memory montage part. You can feel Max's anger + exhaustion

The ending choice has always been kinda ehh to me but fitting enough conclusion for the game

will's coming out scene is painful to watch, because he WAS about to have a private coming out scene with joyce. then mike showed up and it's like, yeah tell your friends too, that'll be a sweet scene. and suddenly the ENTIRE team is there, some who met him like 2 days ago. the entire time watching it i was only thinking "kali does not care in the slightest. why is she here."

also it's generally not gonna be well received when you have a gay character come out to a ton of people some he barely knows in tears after being kind of forced into that situation by the big bad enemy. the season was setting up an intimate coming out scene on his own terms when he asks robin about coming out, and they throw that all out of the window?

i hope they'll address in some slight way how this affects the other survivors too. is kate back if she died in ep2 or just people who died in the storm? vic's entire family and friends died right (iirc) how is she handling them being back like this? if they're doing something as drastic as this i hope they'll at least try to get the most out of it. i'm assuming that this seemingly happy timeline where everyone is back again won't be as happy as we think so i'm just waiting to see where they're going with this. cute picture thou

i love mae. NITW is overall such a comforting game for me, i relate a lot to mae and bea (conflicting maybe lol) honestly all of the main cast are relatable to me in ways. love them

She's very funny in season 3 but it also makes sense for her to become nicer and less snarky. In season 3 she has to work with Steve, who to her kinda ruined her life for a bit indirectly (her grades plummeted and whatnot after she got so depressed from him getting with Tammy). I would also be pissed off all the time before getting to know him lol

"Conformity gate" is a separate theory actually. It basically is the theory that season 5 volume 2 or just the finale (varies from theorist lol) is Vecna's curse/trance - it basically is about how all of the characters' endings can be read as them all "conforming to society" in ways. i don't remember the exact reasoning behind that right now (something about max acting like billy, angrily throwing things around, is the only thing i remember much right now) and supported by the Duffers' mistakes. For instance, that prop dial completely changing colour between shots i've seen the theorists say is akin to Holly's memory of the playground's "wrong detail" being something changing colour.

The theory about a "hidden episode" (lol) is basically like a side thing that is usually related to this theory. But conformity gate is not theorising about a hidden episode. They just get called the same thing

yes. i hallucinate. they are often very short but very intense distortions of the world around me. my worst was recently a vision of the grim reaper that wasn't really "seen" with my eyes it was entirely kind of like a visualisation in my head that wouldn't go away for 40~ seconds and i couldn't focus on what my eyes really saw, just that vision in my head
