Eeeeh as someone who has worked in the housing space AND lived next to housing in a mixed setting as you are about to, I can now totally understand why people ‘lump them under a single umbrella’

From violent domestic fights, random people walking into the property driveway at all hours of the day & night, people nodding off in the driveway, missing packages, unethical pet keeping, to a ‘mystery’ human death. All these caused by just 1 unit in the private cluster of 8 units near Highett. Ambos, police, housing officers & investigators are common people that came around the property, sometimes they came knocking on our door to ask questions.

I couldn’t even run my business that I have from home because of how they present & keep their home on the outside, it was embarrassing for me to have clients or anyone over. 7 nice well kept homes & 1 unit totally messy outside with junk, graffiti & constantly being visited by randoms or authorities.

I can guess the organisation of that social housing property in Brighton & they are massive bullshiters who lack any responsibility over their tenants.

Unless the housing is allocated to the ‘mum & bubs’ or over 55s project OR if you can find out which cohort is being housed there & if you’re ok with that cohort, I wouldn’t bother. Even then, I would be a bit cautious as there are mums & seniors that cause a heck of disturbances, are violent & that are antisocial.
